He had run at least 5-10m passed the runner and then did a big u turn and missed with the haymakers he through. If you're going to make a d**k of yourself he should have made it count.

Tate was running off as he was being taken off before he did anything stupid (after being headbutted by Clinnick). He ran past the runner towards the bench then turned around ran 10-20 metres back to the run and swung a punch....... Runner and him were on there own and it was righ in front of the umpire..... Two very costly acts over last two weeks from the SM boys! Whatever we might think of Tate he is important to the SM rotations and a goal kicker on his day, along wityh H Simpson out the midfield battle is swaying even more heavily GV's way I think.

Yep, Tate was a goose who got sucked in. Looking at the amount of joy it seems to have caused on this site I assume he's made some enemies throughout his career. Silly man because he seemed in reasonable touch on Sunday.
Keilor fans shouldn't get too self righteous though. The way the Picioane's, Clinnick & Buttigieg ran around reminded me of some trips I've made to Moonee Valley in the past.

Finally, someone who saw the WHOLE game. As for the other intellectually and socially inept imbociles who are writing on this site, sitting in the grandstand at this time of the year indicates to me that you have no footballing ability between you. I suppose you come to expect that sort of weak behaviour from the Picioane's, but someone like Clinnick...i'm glad I'm wasting my taxes to pay his wage....
There's no doubt the Picioane's and a few others were crossing some lines at various stages in the match and Clinnick's head butt was unwarranted etc etc etc. BUT how many Keilor players have put the opportunity to play a GF on the line (except by under-performing) The answer is none and the fact remains that Simpson and possibly Tate have badly hurt SM's chances next weekend, aside from their personal hurt at missing the big one......
So you played or were part of a team on the weekend... By the way you are speaking Strathmore. You must be wrapped that Tate put himself before the team and got himself reported.
I can't remember too many elimination finals where the team that looked like losing didn't start throwing a couple of cheap shots, they do it to get the reaction they got Sunday.

Agree 100%. This bloke has just as much bias as anyone else who supports there local edfl club. What TC did was stupid no doubt and he regrets it im certain, and i also agree we didnt learn our lesson from the first meeting this season that not going the ball and getting all macho gets you nowhere, especially in finals.
Having said that, in the 3rd quarter Keilor was far and away superior to the mores and if Ter Haar kicks the goal on the run from 30 its only 2 goals and 3/4 time, not 4 as the mores took it down and kicked another one just before the siren, but you cant do anything now.
Tate is a money hungry tool and deserve everyweek he gets.
Tate will get off......anyone who was watching the game will know there was nothing in it. No punches......just a slight retaliation to some sledging that is no doubt regretted now. The umpires lost total control and had to show they were going to take some control in the last 10 minutes of the game so they all jumped on the one incident. I counted at least 5 other incidents that should have been reportable but lets not go there. Let's just keep bagging one bloke afterall he WAS the only one out there now wasn't he children???? Looks to me like another brave comment from you juliand. You hero. You all loved Tate when he played for greenvale. So he's moved on, get over it. I thought this forum was to be used for feedback and useful comments not for rude slander. I have seen Tate play over the years and have never been dissapointed in his performance, always puts in hard. Hope he gets off and I'll be watching next week.

I was there for the whole game yesterday and am surprised some of the SM players weren't seriously injured. Snipers, elbows and fists to the back of the heads continued to be ignored by the umpires. It seems by the 4th quarter that the umpires had lost control of the game and finally had to try to gain some control back so quickly reacted to an incident that would not have occurred had the umpires been onto all the previous incidents. Tate was obviously pinpointed for the game and walked away from at least 6 or 7 physical incidents which shows he was focused on the game and winning. How unfortunate that a runner came by with obviously insulting comments just after Clinnick headbutted Tate in the face.
Jealousy really is a curse. See you back on the turf real soon Tate.
I saw the game and the incident. No I don't condone any of these incidents. It makes a good game turn sour. Having said that, Tate did NOT wack, strike or hit the runner. He gave him a push, from where I stood. If the runner had just kept on running this forum would have been pretty quiet the last couple of days. We all know that Tate is a great little player that any EDFL club would be happy to have on their side. I enjoy watching him play whoever he plays for and will continue to enjoy watching his skill and passion for the game whenever he plays against my team. Good on you Tate for sticking up for what you think is right.

Congratulations to Strathmore --- They were very brave in victory weathering the knocks / kept their heads over the ball & came out victors... Well done to all the players involved & good luck next week
Keilor --- Undisciplined early on cost them the match... Should have been 1-2 goals up at 1/4 time and that 20 minute patch in the 2nd where strathmore ran riot was very ordinary... Apart from that they were not too far away.....
Tate --- I think he has been harshly treated on this site... Having said that he definitely lost the plot and will get weeks... You can't be assualting officials.... Clinnick - 6 weeks (he played very well though)...
