Piccione's are gone too

Cant believe how things are quoted with no knowledge - Ter Harr signed at Keilor. Marcy x 2 committed. Lee Piccioane committed. Lance retired due to back problem? Gluschenko signed at Keilor.
Adam Dalton ex Marby signed at Keilor. Keilor Footy Ops working hard to ensure top three finish. Never underestimate the BLUES.

mate give me a spell -I wouldnt be relying on adam dalton to push you towrds a top 3 finish
he will get murdered by the defenders in a-grade

if he is representative of the "high" quality recruits going up the highway this yr then the "footy-ops" boys arent working overtime

Ter Haar was reported to have signed at East Keilor by the man himself prior to xmas, if that has changed then fair enough. Gluschenko has signed at Keilor yet it is understood that due to work committments he will be unavailable for the majority if not all of the year.

Does anyone no anything about adam (disco) dennis from abers, i have spoken to a few ppl down at abers they say he is a gun but had a few injurys last year, they think he should be one to watch this year? can anyone shed some light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lion star leaps at city offer

Triple Seymour premiership player Rodney Van Reit appears set to leave to the Lions for Melbourne suburban club Aberfeldie.

Van Reit, 22, said yesterday he was ready for a new challenge after 111 games with the club he began his senior career with.

A former Murray Bushrangers wingman, Van Reit has played a major part in the Lions success during the past three seasons and has represented the Goulburn Valley at interleague level.

``I've been studying in Melbourne for the past couple of years and I'm probably just a little tired of the travel back and forth every weekend,'' Van Reit said.

``I'm obviously a Seymour boy and I've played all my footy there, but I think a change at this stage of my career isn't a bad thing.

``I know a few of the blokes at Aberfeldie and they've tried to get me there for the past couple of seasons, but I'm excited about the move.''

Van Reit has consistently finished the top five of the Lions' best and fairest for the past three seasons and reached the 100-game milestone last season.

He will be reunited with former Bushrangers team-mate Mark Worthington, from Wangaratta, at Aberfeldie and will be a teammate of former Collingwood grand final ruckman Steve McKee. The club failed to make the Essendon District Football League finals last season.

Seymour coach Bernie Haberman said yesterday he was aware Van Reit was considering leaving the club and would attempt to keep him at the Lions.

Tommy D had an inconsistent year in 07,he was injured a fair bit and missed a few games and played at less then 100% fit in quite a few games. He is a tall athletic player about 6,3" good mark and beautiful kick, can kick em well outside 50m and can run.

Someone may know more then me but i believe its still a bit up in the air to what Jimmy Hollow is doing,i do believe he is not playing at Marbi though.

WAXY

Ter Haar is at EK.

Getting a bit touchy you Keilor blokes......a bit nervous about the season ahead.:eek::eek:

The Keilor boys are not getting touchy at all.

They have recruited some handy players in 08 and will be better then first expected. Yes they have had some big losses over the summer (Cooper, Towner, Butters, Wichello, Chucka) but all this has done is open the door for some other guys to take the next step and fill there positions.

Keilor has probably been one of the best teams on paper over the past couple of years but have lacked in the height department. Cooper was carrying the work load for the past couple of years and is now a better and more accomplished player for it.

Keilor have lost some quality players but a club needs to turn over players to become successful. They haven't played in a grand final since 03. So maybe this is the type of scenario the Blues need to face to get themselves out of the comfort zone and work hard to win all there games in 2008.

Like i said earlier in one of my posts, Do not count the blues out as they will finish in the top four.

This year they will need to work together as a team to get results and not rely ont he same blokes doing it week in week out.

Disco is a gun.

Very hard to match up on and very dangerous when he goes forward.

Could easily kick 50+ goals if he played as a permanent forward.

Sensational foot skills and rarely misses on the run.

puff, can u confirm van riet has actually signed with abers? news i had was he is very interested because he has a job and studies in melb, but nothing has been finalised. you would expect seymour to come back with a substantial offer to keep a player of that ability.

Seymour did counter-offer but he has signed with Abers. Huge pick-up for Abers and they are starting to look very competitive in 2008.

So having signed a contract means nothing anymore? The impression is there are quite a number of players who are signing to clubs and then moving to another (the Flavel issue from last year where he signed at East Keilor and then left for West Coburg). Does the EDFL have any stance on this?
