Heard Charlie Pardo is making a comeback to APW this season, apparently doing a heap of training, could be a handy inclusion up forward for the eagles....as well a a great clubman - havent seen him play...any thoughts?

An awesome inclusion not only is he a decent player on his day, i played there as a kid and he made me feel bulletproof.:thumbsu:

Teams who are high profile

Doutta Stars (Kolyniuk will not buy a team he will use what he has got)

you gotta be kidding me. The only thing he has tried to do is buy players. And if he hadn't have run out of money in november he would have bought more. And Pappa would get a game at these clubs, let alone big money. You dont get paid to play ressies.

The Players Doutta Have brought are all talls they are looking at what they have and trying to improve it from what i hear. I am not a doutta stars man, this is all from what I have heard. And Pappa is no doubt a senior player just trying to find out what club he is going to. I believe it is Greenvale. I am not here to say if anyone is good enough to play A grade footy. So which club is he playing at?

Are we talkin about pappa that dwarf from Westie about 5 years ago. If it is, that guy is old, fat, slow and pathetic. There is no way he would get a game for greenvale.

And as for doutta, i reakon Billy has 85,000, and its all gone.

Last thing about coburg 2 (Coburg Reserves)
In 2001 this was the finals squad which took on werribe,
D. Weston (MBARY)
M. Budge (G/vale)
R.Little (St/more)
T.Condon (St/more)
A.James (who knows but a gun)
G.Taylor (Who Knows played at FREO)
D.Biggs (Captain old essendedn)
T.Little (Sunbury)
D.Lang (Not sure but gun)
Watto (Monmerance 1's, DVFL)
B.Koutsarsavillous (Year off last year West Coburg 1)
Me (St Albans)
O'Conner (Gr/vale

D.Bicer (G/vale)
Tortar (Gr/vale)
Nuziator (Nth Coburg)

Other than me all these players have played A grade footy in EDFL or equilvent league. Some even have half of these players in your top 10.
In 2001 it was the third best league in Victoria, since then it has slowly deteraited.

Thats it about me now i have corrected everyone i wish now, so lets get the talk back onto the 2006 season..

Whos going to win the keilor night series

Mate Langy is at home in Leeton Riverina Footy League him and former Demon Craig Nettelbeck will tear it up. Tayles is at home in Swan Districts, and Watto plays in the GV for Ky Bombers. By the way my sources tell me you can't get a kick on XBox footy.;)

Pardo was a member of the Doutta Stars 1999 Premiership side and Airport West premiership side Mid 90's. Unfortunately since then struggled with injury, fitness and form and played mainly in the 2's

Will be a handy pick up though for a B Grade club as he can probably play Full Forward, has a good pair of hands and a good kick for goal. Good team player as well.

Well if Pappa is staying at APW then I guess he ain't going to the likes of Greenvale anyway.

Well if Billy has spent that much this year hed want to play finals footy then wouldn't he?

But I guess it is only half the amount Greenvale and Strathmore have been throwing around these days

John Lindsay from Port COlts is a ball magnet who is a left foot kick and is easly destracted and loves to throw a punch. as he was suspended for 8 weeks last year for stricking.

Cameron Beasley is another ball magnet who looks top heavy and slow but will out run any of his opponents and loves the hard ball gets

now these guys will be getting paid at least 650 + per game and they are only on ballers.

plus sign on fees

so Strathmore good on ya guys you have done well.

If Billy has spent 85k which i doubt but if you say he has then I'll take your word hed wanna play finals this year. but who has he spent it on????

Anyone know?

Most of the Coburg reserves players are ex calder cannons, dont know why they waste there time in the VFL reserves

I guess its a general progression....I think the players that played cannons think there better then local footy but in the end they come back chasing money. The VFL reserve system is crap now, which will see alot of these players from the TAC cup come back to local footy and make Regional districts like EDFL much better

Kingfooty. After a game how many of the blokes who play for your business (Your Footy Club) Hang around after the game for a beer? How many guys have you brought this year? How many of them do you know willbe there next year? How many of them do you think even care or show pride in the Jumper they are wearing? How many of these guys would draw blood for there so called mate wearing the same jumper? And how many other clubs have these guys played at before they have played at your club? So Keilor host a "LOCAL" night competition where they invite other teams from other leages to play in 2 round robbin games and all other teams build relationships with each other from this.

The real reason to why you are against the Night Series is that your players will not be available to play in these competitions because they have no pride or pashion for there club they are representing for 1 and 2 they are not getting paid to play in it!!!

Have a look at yourself Kingfooty it is LOCAL football mate and spending Thousands of dollars on players at a time and offereing sign on fees does not make a good club mate.

You'll find that players who have come to your club for money will leave just as quick when your money runs out. which believe me mate it will, ask the other one hit wonder clubs and see how they are all going now? STRUGGLING !!!
you will find in our club that if we keep the same proffessional commitee we will never run out of money. the reason we wont is that we dont make idiotic decisions like joining a night series to enhance our opposition. We would rather make money just like a good business does. everybody wants to knock the tall poppy because we are successful, lower clubs bag us because of jealosy. our after game functions are the best functions in metro footy and we also have one of the biggest memberships in the dvfl. you have obviously not been in our rooms after any of our games. It is also compulsary for our players to go in the opposition rooms after away games. When your successful you will find that everyone trains both nights where lower teams can struggle especially on a tuesday. I have never seen a side win a premiership if they dont have pride and passion. the sooner your football club starts making the correct decisions, you too may become successful like us. Next time your over our way come into our rooms and i will show you our trophy cabinet, who knows i might even let you touch 1 of our many cups.

P.S you will have to wash your hands first.

No need to mention that on this site. He is a great bloke and a really good football player.

Agree with your comment edfl! But on other hand people that do drugs have to take a good look at themselves.....really what do you achieve by doing it in all honesty? Your not only bringing yourself down but the club too edfl..........!!!

Well the players that think they are better than what they are, are then found out in the system. The vfl has been crap since the afl reserves were abolished in 2000. I say bring back the old system!

Pacco have recruited well this Year - Ezard has a good relationship with all the Guys from St Albans as he coached there for 5 years and played in 4 finals series 2 grand finals and 1 premiership. What he does to Pacco is exactly what he did with St Albans he will get everyone fit and playing his style of footy which is very effective and will win games. He will see what he has on the list this year from pacco plus recruites like - the Stott Borthers x 3. Flying Forward JB (High Marking Forward) and a couple of other players who have played either at Coburg under Ezard before or from St Albans. Then next season you can garuntee he will buy his way out of B Grade and play A grade footy with in 3 years he will play A Grade Finals. He has allot of support from important people in the Footballing world who like to see him succeed.

the chief hates to rain on anyones parade. but ezard is not the guru he once was.The chief's source advises these blokes from st albans were just a grade wrfl footballers & only left st albans to avoid playin twos, with the massive losses of meacham , purcell & co , paccoe may struggle to finish 5th

Excuse me sir but is that why you guys hate doutta's so much. Have you had a look in their cabinet lately? I believe your point on passion but i remember a time when douttas had come up to a grade and douttas beat your guys in a thriller up at keilor. The supporters were ********ed and i think from memory not to many keilor boys ventured into YOUR rooms afterwards. Any body that wants to look at douttas cups you are more than welcome and have a beer tell everyone there how good you are drink our ******** and youd be welcome anytime im sure. Keilor are a professional club granted but when you spend the dollars that they do i think they should have been undefeated for the past 15 years oh and by the way how is the cricket club going spending all that coin as well?

Good to see that your club is working on getting former juniors back there mate. Thats pretty hard to do with clubs that have struggled recently and my club is one of those as well. Who is the former skipper and sydenham boy??????
