Shit info on Crazyburn - Jacobs & Piggott both playing. And as for Schwarze I think the closest he ever got to Crazyburn was when he played for St Kilda and the planes used to fly over the top of the ground !:eek::eek:

Hey Bomber44,

At first i thought i knew who you were!

Then confused me when you denied who you were in a private message.

I actually think i have worked out who you are.

The in depth knowledge of Greenvale lead me to believe you were either Pax or Super but i think not.

I know who you are now though!

Just to let everyone know, the Jacana Football Club is going strong.

Plenty happenning over the next few weeks.

Would like to congratulate well respected craigieburn man, Patty O'Neil on becoming Assistant Coach of the JFC.

More news coming about a football manager, a very smart footballing man who will be announced at another date in the coming week.

Few new players in the coming weeks, with possibilities of ex players Jeff Frazier and Craig McPharlaine returning to the purple and gold.

Young, passionate and looking some senior players looking to help out these young blokes are returning.

There's a great buzz around the club at the moment!

Good work!!

Been thought by many for a while that the Jaccas would fold soon.

Let's hope not and they can build up again from the bottom.

macca, you need to look harder. bombers identity is not that hard to work out.

spoke to super and he was unaware that the interent was on computers, and was of the belief it was the inner netting contained in his shorts.

as for your identity macca, that i am unsure about.

my tips this week

GV d K by 43pts
Marby d Doutta by 38 pts
oakers d abers by 30 pts
SM d Craige by 65pts; but if harvey doesnt play id like to reduce my margin by 9 goals.
WC to punch the crap out of avondale and to take home the bacon by 11 pts

MATTY PILLIOS'S - B GRADE TIPS FOR ROUND 1

TAYLORS LAKES DEF Northern Saints by 19 points.

The Lakers will be too good at home in front of their passionate crowd. They will dominate the air with Patrick Wiggens and Jacob Karoneos, but will face stiff opposition from a club playing their first match together and hungry for success. In the middle Adam Cantelmi, Daniel Rajab, Mark De Sousa and Ben Hutchison will face a good midfield in Andrew Bouzokas, Adrian Luvara, Mark Tsionakis and Ash Mills.
Cos Fedele might have to get Matt Morelli across Half Forward and Alex Tortora's & Matthew O'Connors playing experience will be vital. In a close contest the Lakers talls and home ground advantage will be the difference.

Matty appart from the new recruits and a Great Coach in Mocca the team thats made up of Fawkner Park and Bops players was merged last season, that was one of the considerations in going for the merge. Fawkner kick starting would have torn 15-20 players away from Bops as well as the almighty dollars Fawkner could pull in. So hopefully as a New Club this will help the Northern Saints put up a good fight and maybe even take the points for a positive start for the boys from the great Mutton Reserve.

AD,

I said i thought it may have been super or Pax but i know it's not.

It's the big fella that floats between the ruck, CHF and FF occassionaly.

Handy player.

Has been at the club for 3 years now i think after crossing from a current B Grade club.

i have no idea who you are talking about, but that mystical person is not bomber. i have no interest in revealing bomber cause like timmy clinnick he actually knows something about edfl, which is rare here.

marby nice start to A grade with a flogging of douttas by 14 goals.
wouldn't right the stars off yet but the boys have some work to do.
with some quality to come in the side i would expect an improvement in the next couple of weeks. backline is the ?????????? and without philpot in the ruck and a first gamer rucking and i mean first game, has never played the game before, the only way is up.

Abers great after 3 qu time. Party tricks - Exciting, quick but who knows may have been playing the bottom team. Will see what happens after the next 3 rounds.

Good first up effort by Craigieburn. Looked like they might sneak in for a win up until the last 5 minutes. A few dubious umpiring decisions in the final quarter but Craigieburn had their chances to wrap it up long before that.
Barry Brooks in sensational form , Adam Turner looks to have slipped back into the side quite nicely and Daniel Nolan looks set for another big year.
With players like Fonua, Saliba, Piggot, Wrigley ,Poorter and a few more to come back...... it looks like Craigieburn could be right up there in 08?

Good positive spin!

It's only one game but admit the fact it will be a long year for the boys at Buckly!

Avondale appear to have fallen away - looking at Wests list they haven added much from last year.

macca - yes its only round one and things will change with injury and form

But I agree the one thing the first couple of rounds highlite, is the sides that havent done enough work in the off season either in recruiting or list building or thought they had lists good enough to go on with.

the crazys / marby & abers may have stepped up to tackle greenvale / strathmore & keilor whilst the star & heights have been left behind for whatever reasons

id love to know which clubs think they have the right list or just couldnt put away enough quality recruits in the off season ..
and how much does budget vs the coach and guys doing the recruiting affect this

Got to see two A Grade matches yesterday.........

Saw the first half of Keilor vs GV and what a high intense first half it was. The JETS again look a class above and I wasn't that impressed with Caddy. Not as good as I thought, but it is only one week and he's gone to a much faster, much better skilled comp. Smith and Bloomfields strength were keys for GV and Bicer is all class. Massive crowd for Marcy's 300th. Keilor looked good. Picione was trying to rough a few up.

Got to Buckley Park at the start of the 3rd and just watched Marby Park pull Doutta's pants down. The worse thing I witnessed was the disgraceful group of "racist" Doutta's supporters on the opposite side to the clubrooms. They were abusing one of Marbo trainers and then as soon as the Lions piled on about 7 straight they stood there like blonks trying to hide. Embaressing!!!
Buttigieg was fantastic and I like the look of Leigh Gray. Didn't see Wooley playing or there tall Ruckman for Doutta's. Also, noticed LaVerde still wasn't playing for Marbo. Doutta's need to help Carey out.

Now mooks, EK will go ok this year. They have picked up 5 or 6 Donvale players which are EFL Div 1 for anyones intuition. Along with some other good recruits and the handy core players from last year, its a good mix.

went down and watched majority of the game and the at east keilor vs sydenham. East keilor look like they have improved out of site from last year had sum big mobile forwards who were very hard for sydenham to contain.the scoreboard showed a very one sided game but i think east keilor will really give glenroy and westy a push this year.and sydenham just need to get all there players to gel and as apparently there was about 12 or 13 new blokes in the side and 4 or 5 hadnt played any pre season games so maybe abit underdone.Good to see east start of the season well as they are an a grade club
