Hey Matty do you know anything about Johnny Sammut trying to get a clearance to Marby. Nothing but money hungry and over rated good luck with his ego.

This bloke can play... very hard at it... But he is an absolute nut job!!!. Will lose the plot within the first 3 games. Should stay at Braybrook..... at least he fits in there!!!

Cliffy obviously you are a westmeadows supporter. Might see you around the traps during the year? Also whats this stuff about Leigh O'neill being sacked, heard he's a good young footballer. I know those 2 young blokes personally and was just informing what i heard, good to hear tynan coles and Jeff Frazier have signed.

thread on tuesday said leigh oneill has been sacked for missing training, written by cliffy so would assume he has a very important posistion in the club. know scibba and liam turner, both have signed to play on again, but they did consider leaving.
tynan coles will fill oneills spot, so no loss there, frazier will be very good if the body holds up. should go well the tigers

Good to hear.... they should go well this year and be in the top 5.

T. Coles can play and will fill oneills spot with easy, heard they offered

oneill $500 a game not sure if it is true?

havent seen him play, but heard rumors about him.
with ease is a big statement, as is $500 a game alot of money. thats the same thing i was told too. word spreads so quickly these days

Indeed it does l Still rate oneill, but T.Coles is all class! Maybe the

pressure was getting to him with the huge sum of money being thrown at

him and also being a big fish in a small pond....?

big fish in a small pond, not quite catching you there in relation to footy
he must be pretty good this coles, cause oneill has got the runs on the board

I agree with you there son06, filling the generals shoes with ease is a big call, however the kid can play, had he been available all last year for the tigers then they would have no doubt finished off better than they did, i believe young coles was like most ppl that have gone to VFL clubs over the last few years, didnt want to be playing twos again all year, makes it pretty hard to crack a game in the ones these days with 14 or 15 listed blokes dropping back.

General in that side would have made it stronger, maybe there is still a chance????

Tynan Will be a handy pick up along with big Jeff, put a ruckman in that side and they will be the quiet achievers i think, still prob 90 percent home grown players down at the tigers, unlike those boys at marby. :)

Should be a very interesting year in B grade

Its great to see the home grown boys playing and back there home clubs.

This comp needs more of it, but on the other if clubs have the money why

not spend it. Son06 you must be from oak park! Im not baging the bloke

oneill he is agood player with acouple of A grade flags which a alot of

other people dont have.

They may have found that ruckman you are talking about. They signed robert windus last night 6ft 5 and very well put together last played at the cannons. Could fill the hole the tigers need.

Did he play last with the cannons or was he just on the list cliffy?

vfl system is ********house, been there and if your not in the know, your not in. not worth wasting your time with.
would be hard for general to play there if they have sacked him, not a great seal of confidence to stay, but b grade is actually gonna be worth taking notice of. very strong this year

you got me allears, i am a oak park follower, so could be a little biased. kid has finished top 3 in b/f last 3 years running and in good sides as you have mentioned.
as for blake allbones nedding a bigger chair and desk on the footy show, my full apologies to the man, rumor has it he is training the house down and is nearly back to his former self when he tormented full backs. watch for a big year from the captain.

Home grown westy boy who spent two years on the cannons list not sure how many games he played if any,but at 6ft 5 should be able to give the likes of mcclean, taylor, turner, and coles first use of the ball.

I total agree with you son06 the vfl system is a joke and l wouldnt bother

with it now with the way it is set out. The kid can play there is no doubt

about that, just with T.Coles coming out of the vfl he'll be alittle fitter and

quicker thats all.

Good to hear the B grade comp will be good this year, alot better than

everyone thinks. Westy and glenroy might be the dark horses.

True, oneill can play tho dont worry about that, any news on spike and

coco? What are there movements? Have yous picked up any new players

etc?

We have seen heavy recruiting over the preseason espicailly of aged players who have probaly played their best footy already (in regards to b grade). who do you think has the best young list in the comp? ( A and B grade ) And which players have you personally seen that have impressed you?

ill start off with James Watts from strathmore who hits the ball hard and could fit in anyside in any position love to have him playing on my side solid 4 a 19yr old.

also ricky mcveigh great skills, evasive very smart and seems a born leader, seems to be commmited and will go along way.

thoughts? thanx guys

a grade id have to say Cameron Hare (Strathmore).. only seen play a cple times and has impressed wig b.o.g performances... like the way he goes about it.

b grade i like Justin Mall (Jacana).. very quick and great endurance.. runs all day, good leader and fair player. very passionate. also kicks good amounts of goals for a midfielder. a very good clubman.

cheers... also watts is a top player too... ;)

picked up some cannons kids from premiershipship side if been told. pekes twins are def staying, as is d campbell, and a couple of others im not sure about.
spike and choco are still up in the air, should ring them to be honest and see, but oak park are confident of keeping them, but who knows.
coach has them training there arses off i hear, will be a team of runners.
lost some good players as every1 knows, but they still think they can push for finals while blooding plenty of young kids

since ross talks up his jacana boys, i think i should rap up a kid who comes from oak park. the kids name is jack pascu.
his old man is a team of the century player of oak park, and although its a big statement, def think the kid will be just as good if not better than the old man.
did no one watch the a grade u/18 grand final last year, starthmore won by 10+ goals and the kid was bog by a mile and rightly so rewarded the medal, although im sure he would of gave it up for another

impress and they will get alot out of them. I still think oakers will be in the

up!

Jack Pascu....Son of Paul, good player saw the grand final killed them, will be big effort to be better than his old man, one of the best toughest players that was running around in the EDFL through the 80's and early 90's.

One thing that interests me...can he fight like the old fella, remember seeing pasc get the better of a few blokes in my younger days, good bloke tho and could play the game, all the best to young jack hope he does well.

id say he doesnt have that same awe about him his old man had when he took the field, not many did, but do believe he will be one of the best to ever pull the boots on for the roo boys, huge wraps, hope i dont put the pressure on the kid.
old man is a top bloke too

Forget Flavel, Wittmar is the best foward at E.Keilor by a long way. I reakon he is a massive gun, that just needs to get his head right. Tears games apart when on song, and absolute power house.

You are right there. A fit, on-song Wittmar is unstoppable. EK will miss him in 2006. Going overseas I here.

Flavel is a classy player who doesn't need to be tough. Damaging kick and v.good overhead for his side. I had him in my REP team. Goes well.

That ladder just done is not a bad prediction. THe top 6 I agree and bottom 4, I agree. After Strathmore though I feel the order could be any of them from 2-6.
