Yes Bang I’ve been harping on it for years now!Looking like another real boring round of footy coming up Saturday & another season where the same 4 clubs vying for a flag. Congrats to those clubs, but there really is no interest in our "Premier" competition anymore (out-side the people involved in those 4 clubs). There is no answer or system that can or EDFL willing to put in place to correct the in balance(anything that can be done will disadvantage the work the Big 3 + Pacco have done to establish their dominance, so I can understand how the EDFL cannot be justified in dis-advantaging them). Reality is there are 6 clubs where people/supporters who those clubs rely on to turn up Thursday nights/Saturdays and spend their hard earned to keep the cash flow going turning their back and either watching other comps or finding something else to do..
I am not sooking or mean to put a downer on things, but these are facts
Yep, but suppose we should try and keep things positive. Can anyone give an update what the Big Fella at EK is up too? Seriously without him this Forum would be deadYes Bang I’ve been harping on it for years now!
The top 5 in premier seniors, premier 18.5, 16 div1 , 14 div1 all feature Keilor, Strathmore, Abers, Pacco so where is the competition coming from for the years ahead??? These clubs are miles ahead of the rest..
Only Marby look to have decent 18.5, 16s however there seniors are currently in div1. So if they don’t win it they could be in trouble but if they go up they have a decent base underneath..
Coburg districts look to have strong 14s however there seniors are in div2 mid table.
Thoughts on fixing this issue? if raising it, you must have some solutions?Looking like another real boring round of footy coming up Saturday & another season where the same 4 clubs vying for a flag. I'm betting Pat will not be at EK in any capacity in 2025Yep, but suppose we should try and keep things positive. Can anyone give an update what the Big Fella at EK is up too? Seriously without him this Forum would be dead
That has already been announcedI'm betting Pat will not be at EK in any capacity in 2025
I've mentioned many times before on my thoughts on how to correct the balance starting with restricting no. of teams clubs can register in each division and players 16yo and younger only being allowed to play at a club within 5kms of their residence. Whatever the answer is, it will take years and years to see a change, but as I mentioned I can't see the EDFL implementing anything to balance it up as they are a bit restricted as they can't be seen to make changes that may impact participation numbers or put restrictions on the Top 4 Clubs. Easy throw away line to the clubs is "need to get better", but that's not reality when you look at all the factors. I'm not sooking and hats off to the Top 4 for being in the position you are, but the result of that is the general moral around the EDFL Premier Division is at an all time low(and has been that way for many years now). That is just FactThoughts on fixing this issue? if raising it, you must have some solutions?

To channel Shane Crawford "That what I'm talkn' about"What are peoples thoughts on this way out there idea ?
On all Metro threds people are complaining about the haves and have-nots, and the gulf between the top and bottom sides, and how boring the season is already. What if the AFL grew a set and made metro footy like the amateurs. Premier Division Keilor, Aberfeldie, Strathmore, Rowville, Balwyn, Vermont, Heidelberg, Montmerency, Werribee Districts and Cheltenham. 10 teams per league. 2 up and 2 down every year. Top few competitions would be great footy and it also gives the easy beats of every competition a chance to win and even win a flag. Seniors, Reserves and 19s only. Juniors stay where they are. I know people will complain about the travel, but what else can be done. There are sides within every competition that will never win a flag or maybe survive if something isnt done. And as a lot of people are saying, the footys boring.
Just a thought for discussion.
For sure, his a sniping muttSurely his up to 16 weeks by now has been sniping blokes for years
Who is new President for next year?Pat has told everyone at the club, announced new President and no idea who the coach is going to be? Is Rocky still unemployed?
I think the league with help from AFL Vic should have looked at this years ago.Thoughts on fixing this issue? if raising it, you must have some solutions?
Pat is well known at caroline springs, his brother Zen has coached the juniors for years, they saw first hand on some occasions his antics. He's trying to get to Caroline Springs.
After doing their due diligence, the smart people at Caroline Springs should be building a Pat-proof wall around their ground as we speak.
Why hasn't it been announced on socials yet? Or are they too busy posting videos of them winning...winning the coin toss that isPat has told everyone at the club, announced new President and no idea who the coach is going to be? Is Rocky still unemployed?
