Geoff Brown was involved with the Abers football club for years before he passed away 3-4 years ago.
He was a great individual, may have even did the TM for the senior interleague for for years.
Al Butcher was also involved with Strathmore Football and Cricket Clubs in many roles and was a life member before his death in 2019.

I’m a Strathmore FC supporter, so this might be viewed as being a trifle self indulgent.

Not sure how accurate PlayHQ records are. However I note they indicate Adam Iaccobucci has played 199 games for the Mores since coming over from the Northern Bullants in 2012. He has been named in the best players 117 times. An impressive strike rate of nearly 60%. He has also represented the EDFL with distinction in representative games on many occasions.

Football wise it seems like Adam has been around for ever. He has played in 2 premierships for the Mores, as well as being a multiple B&F winner. Prior to coming to Strathmore he played 105 games for the Northern Bullants, captaining them for several season, and representing the VFL on a number of occasions. He also played 30 games for Williamstown, and 4 for Collingwood.

Adam has been a fantastic servant of the Strathmore FC, and has had a long and distinguished Football career. Scrupulously fair, he is highly respected, both on and off the field, and has got absolutely everything out of his football career.

Congratulations Adam, if it is indeed your 200th coming up.

Nicely written Adam!!

Indian kids are mostly steered towards cricket more so than footy by their parents

Craigieburn cricket club is bulging at the seems with players due to the high Indian population in the area

Would probably be similar around tarneit melton etc
Absolutely right around Tarneit and Pt.Cook and very few play footy, even playing winter cricket. Great challenge for footy and potentially great rewards. The word survival even comes to mind.

He is a true craftsman. I rate him highly for this Strathmore engine

The mores prevail as abers can’t shake the bruise free stigma. My official WHISPVIEW will be up during the week. Went to the races yesterday after the footy and currently waiting for the Uber to pick me up to watch the blues.

Well said mate. Great player and very loyal. And continues to play high level footy at the age of 38. You don’t often see that as they tend to retire or down a level. Absolute gun! Best of luck to him for his 200th and the rest of his career.
