You do know mick poaches every junior that’s half decent from rival clubs. Can’t consider them home grown
I think there's the feel they'll develop better at keilor and why juniors go there. Then one parent think if that kids going to keilor, my sons just as good so I'll send him too. Does mick still coach a junior team? Look at keilor reserves too, right up.there, the kids don't leave.

I'd love to see edfl clubs play off 35 points. If it's good enough for the ovens and murray premiers it should be for metro footballers. Deer Park wouldn't know what a home grown junior looked like. If the points system is tightened up you don't need a salary cap. If your playing under 19s your good enough to be full time in the ones

On the topic of Keilor reserves players leaving, Jhett Gaskett has joined Aberfeldie.

A junior like that should be a core player in keilors senior side. It shows the points system isn't working, if a 20 year midfielder can't crack the senior side and would be a regular in other sides in the comp
Hey mate, it’s not the fault of the points system in this case, it’s a case of keilor not playing their own. They recruit others and chase juniors when they have enough of their own talent but continue to ignore them. Cassar gone as well. A club like keilor shoukd be playing on under 40 points every week but they recruit and ignore their own.

What would change in the EDFL if the max points allowed was 30? Or are we suggesting different points for different clubs?

What a load of crap, if he was good enough he would’ve been getting a game at Keilor….surely there’s enough evidence to suggest McGuane plays their own if good enough. Let’s see how many games he plays at Aberfeldie!

They play over 40 points, so they actually don't play their young guys enough. A club like keilor could easily play in the low 30s and win the flag. The ovens and murray have just made the premiers play on 36 points and it goes up a point for each spot up the ladder. Edfl should be 34 points for the premiers and go up each ladder spot

Deer Parks coach home grown?

I’m pretty sure I said there’s enough evidence to suggest that McGuane will play them if they’re good enough. I don’t think he’s in the game of gifting games to satisfy some outsiders
