I agree it was a good standard. Very fast paced game.. Pacco should have won by more I reckon. The 1st Quarter Pacco dominated and should have put the game away but missed a few opportunities. Foster #11 is a gun no doubt. I only watched the first half but if Pacco can use Hansen and others they should be up there. Hansen was very good I thought. Very courageous player who backs into packs and is completing well. Allen was really dominate with 3 first half goals. Ben Ross was close to BOG first half.

Strathmore didn’t look overly strong but competed well. The ruckman from Westy Vavra was very competitive i thought. They weren’t overly tall and McIntosh was quite. Didn’t look overly fit so maybe carrying an injury. Having said that you would expect Pacco to win if you look at both team lists. Pacco had a few very good players out as well..
Agree with what u have said, would or will be a closer result on a softer ground (mid winter). Also number 41 for Pacco has talent. With the right development could be a player.

Season over for Pacco if they lose this week?
Yes if they aren’t on top of the ladder at the end of round 4 they might as well forfeit the rest of the year

Love it boys.. Trying to bait me in I guess..

Even though it’s early season and I expect Pacco to make the 4 this week’s game v Marby is very interesting. If Pacco win it they will go into the GV game with confidence and the bigger ground should suit them well.
Could they be 7-2 at the 1/2 way mark as playing all the top sides in first 5 rounds? Hope so..

It has been a bit quite on here I must say, so I will give you boys something to respond to as to keep you on this thread. Lol

Very quite boys!!!

I see the premier league being divided atm. Top 5 sides look to be Abers, GV, Marby, Keilor and Pacco and there is a big drop to the next 5.

The recently promoted Glenroy have been very competitive thus far. That’s a positive for the league. Winter has been good early.. Is having a strong leader in Dulic the key?? Alsi they have a committee that are doing well off field. What I like about them is they are moving in the right direction off field opposed to some other clubs in the area who struggle to take a new direction. Personally thought they might have struggled early on the dry grounds but they done well.

Interested in the thoughts of others that have seen Glenroy play this season..

With Glenroy doing well who is everyone’s tip to be relegated?

Glenroy were very good yesterday albeit SM had a few out - lucky not to win actually. Those within "the 4 walls" at Glenroy were happy with their off-season recruiting and the results so far show they will be more than competitive and might even pinch a few wins. EDS short priced favourites to be relegated as other than the Glenroy match, their early results indicate they haven't been in the contest. WC likewise to G in that they have been competitive in their losses so should win enough games to stay up (as they always seem to do!).

AB drawing with AH suggests that it might not be the top 5 and SM's would consider their best 22 is top 5 worthy.

Went down and watched the roys yesterday and your spot on they were a bit stiff. Playing a really good brand of footy and will be kicking themselves that there not 3-0. Kite, big Winter and Dulic really stretched SM yesterday and will keep causing headaches this year, its great to see the promoted side doing well. Roys put on a great day again for anzac day.

Agree Strathmore do lack height across the ground. Do they have any talls out other than McIntosh?

Had a look at Marby v Pacco today. Final score probably flaterred Pacco a bit. Watson was dangerous every time it went near him. Lachie Hansen should donate his pay to the bar. Never got near it, and he is very lazy. Number 40 for Pacco is a gun. But turbo, saying Foster is a gun, is a bit premature. Was more than happy to banter with the crowd today, if he only put the same effort into his football then you might be onto something.

Foster is a gun. So what if he responded to the crowd. All in fun I suppose. That’s what happens if ur a decent player.

Agree to disagree on today's performance. He was happy to have a crack at the crowd, was happy to tell his teammates where to go and what to do, but got bugger all of his own ball. Did you even watch the game??

You clearly haven’t watched foster play before today then, the bloke is a freak and one bad game doesn’t change that. Easily one of the best players in the comp

I'm going on what I saw today. If you're going to talk the talk, make sure you walk the walk. They're 1-3 for a reason.

Your comment does t even make sense. We are talking about Fosters ability as a player. Are you saying today’s result reflects Foster as a player ?
You lose all credibility as a BF opinion if you are.

Maybe 6-3 for Pacco Turbo at the halfway mark , but Pacco need to beat Greenvale next week for to happen.

Number 60 at Pacco , wasn’t very popular today today with the Marby faithful, shite form by him

Hey Odd, I was also at the game today. Was one of the best games of local footy I’ve seen and finals like pressure. Very good contest all day and could have went either way in that last quarter. Keep in mind Pacco lost 2 of their best players Prior to 1/2 time so played with limited rotations.

Pacco hit the front in the last and if Polizzi kicked that set shot goal from right in front I think Pacco win it. Having said that Marby fought back hard and deserved the victory.

Watson close to Paccos best. Absolutely Dominated. Yes #40 Eamon did play well. He runs hard all game. Pacco just don’t use Hanson well. He was good early I thought but his last 1/2 was quite. He did get them back in front with that nice goal in the last. It’s not from lack of trying as he puts in, they just need to use him better. Kick it into his area quicker and more precise and he will do the rest, but they seem to go back, across, back again the wide.
Foster is a star buddy. Think his not 100% hence why he started Forward. He looked injured last week and that tells you his a tough character to continue playing each week..

The umpiring was a bit confusing and why wasn’t Foster paid that mark in the 3/4 quarter in the back pocket. He clearly got hands on it first and was the man in front. The ruck infringements were very confusing! Other than those few decisions the umpiring was ok (after 1/4 time) but it was a great contest between 2 good sides in perfect conditions.

In the end I thought Marby were better around the contest and moved the ball quicker. They have a couple of solid mids who probably just got on top. That Keogh is all class.

Well done to Marby on a good win and liked the way they go about their footy. They play hard but fair and play with flair..

Hey North, now thinking they will be lucky if it’s 6-3 and could be 5-4 or worse 4-5. They have a few injuries as well which is an issue.. Either way it’s not what I expected.

Went down to Clifton Park today...independent observer, what a disgraceful performance of umpiring from start to finish. Tall umpire "Kelvin" absolutely crucified Greenvale...as mentioned above I don't support either team but if the game was a horse race there should be an enquiry...anyone else observe this?
