APW to go down.

Round 17 game between Strathmore and Greenvale to decide 4th place

AH, for mine, they’ve struggled in Premier for a while, I don’t think going down to div1 is such a crime.

Future of the Keilor Park Football Club is bright moving forward. TOP 5 update to the clubs season.

Starting from the top….

  1. We now have upgraded change rooms the equal of any team in the league
  2. We have also purchased the largest digital scoreboard in the league, which will be installed in coming months
  3. We saw the return of our U19 and Mens teams to the field
  4. Our junior program continues to thrive, with many U17’s tasting U19 action already
  5. And to top it off, our womens program now sees us in a Division 1 semi final after only 2 years
Great stuff Keilor Park to rebound through hard work. 👏👏👏

I think this should be acknowledged so I posted it.

This is junior finals stuff but no where else to put it.

So why have the EDFL changed the girls div one 2nd semi's from Jacana to Burnside Heights, and vice versa for the Div 1 boys finals.

The girls played all their finals last year at Burnside and it was blowing a gale every week. Made for shocking footy.

So who complained enough to have the boys swap grounds with the girl's. You know, put the girls there, not the boys.

And what was the matter with Airport West. It worked well last week with all Div 1 girls finals played on both grounds.

I believe last weekend they played under 15 boys finals on Burnside oval no2. Seriously what is the league thinking. The ground is very small and only suitable for under 11s and under 13s.

I agree surely Airport West is a better venue than Burnside for finals. If it’s windy Burnside is one of the worse grounds to play at. Plus not good for supporters if wet or windy.

Must be a massive scoreboard to be as big as Greenvales. Greenvale’s last time I was there was huge.
Where they getting all this money from??
Also that mean you don’t have to share the showers at Keilor park anymore.

Was thinking the same thing with regards to the scoreboard. Wait and see I guess..

Never know Bang. Either way good on them for continuing to push for improvements as they raised 50% themselves I believe. Not a bad effort I must say..

Anyway how have you been?
Agree, well done Devil's.

I've been going alright Turbs, working most Sat so not getting to watch as much footy as I''d like. Usually drop into closest game from home or work and sneak a look over a few green cans.
By the look of it another BORING season. Blues & Gorilla's way out ahead. Greenvale, Pacco & More's would fancy themselves to cause an upset if they get the chance.
The other 5 teams just making up the numbers again, can't see that changing anytime soon.. BOORRING.

According to the website Avondale Heights played with 21 players on Saturday and at the maximum 47 points.... can anyone confirm this was the case or did they have another playing who took them over 47 without listing him ?

Like it.. The EDFL would be silly to punish them as they haven’t punished other clubs

see if this happens against APW in the regulation match in a couple of weeks and Avondale Heights win by playing over the points available .

Hey mate, they didn’t play over the points however only fielded 21 players to fit in players on high points. Technically you must field 22 and list 22. But as I stated earlier and the main reason I’m banned from the div1 thread is the league have made an error and now have to live with this. Bit harsh to penalise AH when they didn’t punish other clubs.. So they can live with that.

It’s all about timing. We have a club that was given the green light to operate outside the rules. Tonight there is a league meeting. Will answers be demanded from the floor. I thought Div 1 was a farce, the whole comp has lost any credibility it may have been hanging onto.

So your saying the EDFL gave Avondale permission to play with 21 players, despite the league rules saying this can’t be done.

EDFL should’ve told them they can’t do it this season.

If they saw reason for a change implement next season.

Doesn’t sit well with me, someone is losing a chance to play a senior footy match.

Not good, if you stop a 1 pointer from playing 1’s, to stay under the cap, which means going in 1 short, you’re not a well managed club.
Cheering for APW now big time

McDonald says that AH have a high turnover of players and struggle with juniors. Any wonder given the culture they are projecting.
