Hearing rumblings of some BIG trouble at Clifton Park.
Story regarding Lynch's exit revolves something around this (details are second hand - but my mate who told me is great mates with a 2s player from Abers who has been at club since 9yo but left this preseason due to the issues)

Lynch approached the club preseason and said "over the year im going to earn 'X' amount for the season. He approached them and asked if he could not be paid anything until June, collect a $15k payment and then to put entirely towards his wedding which was in July - the club agreed.
Lynch approached the club late May and the request was denied. Lynch and president had a massive falling out at Lynch had planned all along to put this money towards his wedding. Told them he would play out the year and then never set foot in the club ever again.
To this date is still owed for several match payments. He's not the only one.
Younger kids 18-22 are fed up with money hungry guys who are keeping them out of spots and so far 11 (all who have played from under 10s) have now filed for clearances. Hesitation from new players signing due to fears of not being paid.

Wowee.
Well to add further spice to this story Deviate Abers home grown champion B. McLean will be playing for East Doncaster in 2017. My source is solid so put that in the bank. Seems Abers are going to fall off their ivory tower.. who was that person that said money buys happiness!

Where's Puff during these moments. We need him back to defend his beloved Abers and hose down all this talk. Lol

Wow, if this is true and with the list of other departures they look cooked unless they have fresh recruits in the bag for 2017. In my opinion This will elevate Doutta, Pacco and Strathmore into the top 4 cause Greenvale is very quiet and still can't see them making top 4 in 2017. Looks like we are heading for a different liking finals campaign next year! Anybody disagree?

So Marby have no chance? Once they clicked could argue they were the form team of the competition in the second half of the year

Lets see what unfolds however where we have smoke we historically have fire!
Agree on improvement from Doutta, Strathmore, as two teams who missed finals last year
Also think Marby, Avondale will be improvers not sure how big
Keilor would be a lock for the 4 possibly top 2

Cannot guarantee Pacco, Greenvale and possibly Abers as finalists at this stage all pending on what is rumoured or known at the minute.

I would give Marby a chance, However, based on the recruiting the others have completed so far, they may just have another heartbreaking year....Sorry.

Ruben, Good call, we are almost aligned and I think either way you look at it. We are heading for a very tough year with a number of playing coaches that will be challenging to do both efficiently. And we know why we have increased playing coaches in 2017......SALARY CAP PRESSURE!!

Can't disagree with this..
Have kept everyone but Trent Lee (who obviously is a massive out team wise) but am hearing wasn't overly liked by the playing group.

Have added Keogh from Port Melbourne who was previously with Oakleigh Chargers, Will Martinello - who in my opinion will be top 5 in comp b&f and am hearing of Thonasi Kokkinakkis' (Aus tennis player) brother signing as a permanent FF from the SANFL as he's moved over for work, coming in at over 2m and 100 kegs - cannot confirm that though.

Another year into their young kids and another preseason under their belts I think they're 4-6 kind of side. Just need a couple of things to go their way early.
I believe their average age throughout last year was 23. Cant confirm that though either.
Mate, I wasn't aware of those changes and possible inclusions, I guess that would place even further pressure on Greenvale and Abers in 2017. Looking forward to the first bounce already

One of Lynchy's workmates just told me basically the same story. Very sad and not good at all. Lynchy's been fantastic for that club and for them to be so High and Mighty about things over the past few years, only to treat their champion's like crap... Money don't buy you class Gorilla's.

You know what , rarely if ever hear things like this come out of West Coburg, Marby, Pacco, APW, Avondale...........

Very poor form......A Deal is a Deal, Right!!

Have heard Greenvale are front runners to sign Shaun Mckernan if not drafted, however is likely to be re-drafted by Essendon. Also chasing a key defender but unknown as to who. Other than that very quiet on the recruiting front after losing a few

Trent was a great servant of Marby. i doubt it very much that he wasnt overly like especially seeming he spent 4 or 5 years there. He has made the decision to go back to his junior club which i believe was where he wanted to finish up.

Marby will be very strong next year I watched a few games last year and there best was as good as anyone on the Comp, very strong mid field next year with 2 gun recruits! Also agree about Trent Lee he will be missed but I think they can cover it, as far as I know he was really well liked both on and off the field I wouldn't imagine the captain of the club would be un liked or he wouldn't be doing that job! Interesting year ahead can't wait to watch!!

Marby probably could do with another key back and though as well as another key forward unless this FF mentioned lines up. Are the Bruest boys from Pt Melb playing at Marby as they can fill gaps well. However I'm being a touch critical as Marby had a reasonable year under Castello last season..

What happened to Joel Corey playing last season. It did get publicity but he never appeared..

Is my mail correct on Clinnick being the right hand man this season??

The playing coach appointments must be offical and only some clubs have them.

Castello - been in the role for 2 seasons now.

Hardingham - was appointed in this position prior to salary cap being implemented but had to sit out season 2016. Contessa is co-coach.

Chapman - Will definitely coach and might play!! Who knows on this one..
Will need a good offsider is he gets on the ground.. Has he appointed an off field assistant or is Paxman going to do it??

Grima - same as above.. My guess is he will start as non playing coach and play depending on injuries and how the side is going. By the way they are recruiting, he might be able to just focus on coaching. Has aspirations to coach higher if he has success..

With the mass exodus out of Abers coach Potter is coming out of retirement

Well Done Trent Lee and good to see some of the Guns in the Comp make their way back home!

Cmon Puff & Mango, come out, come out wherever you are.. Need to hear what's going on at Clifton Park? Surely you both are not on the "alleged" waiting list...

Not sure Turbo. Off to Melton Sth with Lynchy as made a commitment back at his wedding in July. Mango may be headed back to Spotty though with Grub.

You guys are flying but as you know you don't win finals in November.
