Anything to share in regards to the Saints? While everyone is talking about Abers the Northern Saints are going under the radar.
With a team such as Northern Saints, I would have thought another year in Premier Division will be an almighty task for their overall club management. Yes they have a new coach and have got some recruits in; but in 2014 they were often seen fielding teams of no more than 15 in both the 18s and the Reserves
I understand that Chappy is going to help the kids when he can. It's not just a Team it's a Club.
I think as was shown by Chappy making a surprise appearance the Club has a lot of goodwill from the locals in the rather large area they have to themselves. The problem is the Millions that's been poured into The Fawkner "soccer" Club's redevelopment at CB Smith Reserve. If the same money would be spent on Mutton Reserve the place would be huge.

Unfortunately, the council are not willing to provide the saints with any support as they have deemed soccer as the premier sport in Fawkner. While they have a small band of supporters working hard to improve the club's position, it is difficult to see how the club can survive without more more $$$$$$$$ and more people getting involved to help ensure that all elements of the club's operations are run in a professional and effective manner. If the Caruso boys left tomorrow it would all be over, as it is, if things do not change, the club will be lucky to survive another 5 years. It's not just a Team it's a Club.

You are right the next five years will be the making or the breaking of the club. The Northern Saints require more people to get involved and the club needs to become more financial. However, things are not all doom and gloom as they have recruited some promising players. More people are now willing to be involved in the juniors and the last under eighteen training session was well attended. On the professional side of things the club has conducted a rigorous review of the junior coaching curriculum which has resulted in a few changes. The Northern Saints will be represented at the next AFL coaches conference. This conference will benefit all coaches from Auskick to High Performance. Encourage your club to send representatives.Unfortunately, the council are not willing to provide the saints with any support as they have deemed soccer as the premier sport in Fawkner. The imminent death of the Saints has been around as long as I've known them.
A person I know has been involved at the Northern Saints since they were BOPS, then St. Olivers, North Coburg Saints and now Northern Saints this goes back over 30 years. In all that time their extinction has alway been predicted. He even remembers a bet with another doubter that the club wouldn't see past 1975.True without the Merge there would be no saints in the EDFL.
Any news on Big Brother runner-up Travis Lunardi & as to whether he'll be fronting up for Abers in 2015?
Especially considering he only managed 9 games all up in 2014, seven matches in the twos & just the two senior appearances.
Uploaded a photo on Instagram tonight of him training with Footscray.
Trav is training at Footscray as you mentioned and keen to make a fist of it, he will make a decision on where he plays in 2015 in the next month or so..

Shoulder/Chip?Merge or no merge, I've got no doubt the Saints would've survived.
Shoulder/Chip?
Thought that would've been the case. Has it been confirmed though?Travis Lunardi will be at Altona in 2015

Sorry for not mentioning Fawkner Park. Both North Coburg Saints and Fawkner Park contributed equally to the merge which resulted in a flag and a competitive Premier Division team.Merge or no merge, I've got no doubt the Saints would've survived.
Oswald is staying as far as I'm concernedAny ABERS people out there tell me if Lynch and Oswald are staying or moving on?
