I doubt he gets all this true info from recruiters. Which recruiters are going to tell him kids they are keen on that he doesn’t talk up, they don’t want the general consensus to start talking about them. All clubs will have a couple that they hope slide under the radar and they wouldn’t be telling twomey. You think geelong or port last year were going to say yeah we really rate Georgiades.

Helps when he usually finds out whose invited to the first round, he won’t get that this year.

In a year like this, it would be no surprise that recruiters are keeping their cards a little closer to their chests. This might be a draft for the purists when it comes to recruiting. Quite possibly the stronger opinions right now are the ones that have no stake in the game, like on here. So if Cal is relying on the inside word, he may be getting a few more furphies than normal.

Yeah on here/ draft central, haven’t heard any recruiters him talk up/ twomey bring him up to any recruiters on his podcast or in draft related articles.

A tough, strong-bodied midfielder who is adept at the stoppages. O'Driscoll played in the championships last year as a bottom-ager for Western Australia and was an All-Australian at under-16s level. O'Driscoll's contested ball-winning ability is his drawcard – he averaged 25 disposals for Perth's colts side last year – but he has also been used off half-back with impact.

I can see why some people wouldn’t rate O’Driscoll that highly, he does have some flaws with some I believe are possible to iron out with proper coaching and development. Not going top 25 is a tad harsh but can certainly see why some would rate him in the 20s.

Where can I find a complete list of the father-son prospects for 2020. Having searched high and low I cant seem to locate one.
O’Driscoll could be this years Deven Robertson.
On a separate note eDPS its widely accepted that Alex Davies would be a top 15 pick in the open draft. Jeffrey too for some people.
But GC are going to put them straight on their rookie list thanks to Gills never ending concessions.
My point is - arent these kids being punished in this instance? Rookie contracts are only for one year. Plus there is a significant salary difference between a first round pick and a rookie selection? Do GC have some kind of extra concession where they can give these guys a longer rookie contract on higher pay?

I think theyll stay on the rookie list for a year then get upgraded. It’s what they’ve done with Budarick, cant you also decide how much a particular rookie gets paid as the contracts are outside the cap?
They can also pre-list directly to the senior list, and NT prospects have the capacity to decline pre-listing.

His info most likely comes from the draft kids themselves. If they say they've had conversations with X or Y club or spoken frequently with Z club then you can sort of work backwards from there. Especially if they're doing extra interviews a day out from the draft, or flat out tell a player 'we will take you with pick 1'.

So far he's only interviewed a handful of kids and they wouldve spoke to a majority of the clubs anyway, so would most of the kids in the top 30-40.

So far, sure - but that may well also feed into a seemingly-strange draft ranking.
In a normal year he'd be speaking to them throughout the season at academy camps, games, combines and the like.
As the year progresses you gradually see less Twomey and more industry thought in his rankings. Given the circumstances I reckon there's less industry thought and more Twomey in this one than usual.
If we keep a first round pick, I’d almost guarantee that O’Driscoll (who Dev Robertson says is his best mate) doesn’t get past Brisbane.

Not a sexy player but love his toughness and aggression. Even more so as he continues to grow and put up impressive sprint times

eDPS, why do you think Twomey has oli Henry at 9 in his power rankings over the likes of O’Driscoll and McInnes in comparison to your ranking, seems 9 is a stretch

That is a very interesting statement by O’Driscoll.
Pretty sure I mentioned such a possibility on the Adelaide board some time ago. However my comment wasn’t made with any knowledge, just what I thought would be two good selections for Adelaide.
