Considering the guys (i.e. Stringer) that've still been taken high after bad leg breaks its not the worst idea, on talent he'd be right in the mix for potentially one of the top 3-5 picks if his injury hadn't occurred.

Had another look at Curnow. He is very strong 1 on 1 up forward. Hard as hell to spoil if he gets in front. And very mobile.? Any chance 4 or 5?

Okay. I want no surprises with pick 4 and 5 today (unless Schache, Weitering, Mills or Hopper somehow get to us).
Francis/Oliver/Parish. 2 out of those 3 and I'd be happy. The club is saying that they'll go best available and these 3 + Curnow are the best available IMO. So glad Melbourne took pick 3 away from Gold Coast, or else Francis would likely be a certainty to go there.

Not really too impressed with Weideman tbh. Hasn't played much footy recently so I don't know how to judge him.
Curnow... well I have really mellowed on him. Still wouldn't be overly disappointed if we grabbed one of those two (Just not both!).

Other than that, I'd be pretty disappointed. Burton is just too high of a risk at 4/5, but not a complete disaster. Based on potential, absolutely, but I think we need to play it more safe. Milera is alright I guess, but not ideal. Harry McKay has a lot of Daniher about him and I think if we are going for a forward, I'd go for a shorter and more mobile forward to help Daniher.

With 24/25, there is always a slider so I'm hoping to get 1 (possibly 2). I think I'd go best available here as well (maybe best available tall for one of the two picks).

If Mathieson is there, I'd take him.

I wouldn't hate Burton, in his interviews he goes on about wanting to be the next Fyfe, ie not being a lead up forward.

these pick numbers are the latest off afl website following delistings and how many picks each team is eligible to take. Obviously the first four picks will be all pushed back with academy selections but the later ones will come forward when those academy and father son teams give up multiple picks. So 56 could become late 40s, 73 becomes a pick in early 60s, 82 becomes early 70s and so on.
