If you look at the two pre-selections that didn't get bid on by anyone today (Waterman and Finlayson) they both played the entire national championships for their state and both got invited to the combine. Their body of work this year is far greater than Long and they still didn't attract a bid from another side, it's not impossible, but I consider it pretty unlikely.

Disappointed not to get Membrey...prefer him to Ambrose. Clearly a signal that we will find it difficult to attract players for the next few years when the worst team in the comp is beating us to the punch. Unless of course they are international rookies who haven't lived and breathed this mess...
