Who would you honestly take and please provide reasons

Boekhorst or Laverde? close call both could have gone to either club

Had you guys taken Laverde with 19 we would of taken Goddard with 20 anyway.

I did a mock last week (more for my own amusement tbh, I am by no means the be all and end all) and I had Laverde going to the Gold Coast at 8 and I had Boekhorst going to Carlton at 61.

I had heard you were keen, but taking him in the top 20 is a special kind of keen

Do you think my boys should have taken their chance with Laverde and hoping Boekhorst would slip to 28? Dunno what to think as when I saw Laverde slip was surprised and thought should have taken it

I'm not dissapointed but still few question marks regarding few decisions

I've not followed the draft and the whole lead up, to be perfectly honest. Too many things on my plate.

So I really don't have an opinion.

I am staggered Goddard slid to 21 and we overlooked him but laverde i am excited about and Langford is also a good pick. A good draft.

None of those clubs had a pick between your 19 and 28, so that doesn't make much sense as far as getting in before another club goes. I'd say with a fair degree of confidence you would have been able to get him at 28 if you wanted, but clearly you rate him very highly and fair play to you for that, but it's a very ballsy move IMO.

The difference between 19 and 28 doesn't seem like much, but the way I see it there was a significant drop off in quality from 22 onwards given the giants took a humongous smokey at 23 and another guy I wasn't even sure would get picked got selected at pick 27.

May have been earlier on but her latest just before the draft had us taking him at 17.

Im stoked either way.

I dont have foxtel, but was watching it at a house i was looking after when the champs were on and he stood at more than anyone else to me. I called it early he would be a gun and go very high when at the time he was considered a 30 odd pick, he then shot up to being a 4-6 pick then quayle at the latest had him sliding to us at 17.

I think he wouldve gone at 8 or 15 had Wright already been taken.

From what I've heard they are into Corey Ellis, could be a bolter. But you're right Richmond need another hard inside mid to compliment Cotchin/Miles - De Goey would fit the bill.

Don't buy too much into every supporters opinions on who should have picked who.

Boekhorst may surprise a few.

That being said, considering the opinions of those in the know, the decision is baffling.

I wrote a list of 18 players i thought were possible for our 2 high picks this afternoon. 16 i would have been happy with. The ONLY 2 of the 18 i didn't want were Blaine friggin Boekhorst and Viojo Rainbow......

....and my Top 2 wanted were Laverde and Langford
