These guys have struggled since it was discovered that you can disrupt their powerful intercept marking with either controlled or messy tumbler ball into the forward 50 as their backline agility is a bit questionable. We actually did this once very well over there as huge underdogs and seriously dodgy umpiring. We simply have to find that extra pressure at contests and lock it in aswell!

Up the other end it gets a bit more interesting with their 2 power forwards and those zippy smalls Ryan and Rioli. If we can bring pressure on their surgical entries and rebound fast (our home & away game plan) We're in for a chance.

This is a real chess match of day coaching and player mental gearing...

I think we can do it.

Exciting times... 😊

If Hurley gets up, Hurley on Darling, Ambrose on Kennedy, Hooker on Allen. If Hurley fails to get up, Ambrose on Darling, Hooker on Kennedy, Francis on Allen.

This is my theory, but if the team can have the energy to want to win the game and the footy for four quarters and also can relax with the football and just play a natural game, then that’ll be great to see. Don’t care about the winning or losing part, just would like to see that.

- working as a team
- relaxed when with the football(not the hot potato style football) there is absolutely no reason to play anxious, random football at AFL level. Blind kicks, etc.
- wanting to win the ball and the game over the four quarters.
- improved contested marking from players known to drop marks. Being able to mark is better than a 50/50 knock
on. Turnover.
- defensive teamwork, manning up if west coast are playing well.
- mentally, you need a reason to want to play exciting football, that’s internal, something like, you enjoy marking, you enjoy passing, you enjoy finding a player on the lead and you enjoy football.

You'll win

Alright I've placed the money on us by 40+. I hope that's what you meant.

I think hawks also score alot on the rebound, so they may be susceptible to us scoring that way.

Hurn's form hasn't been that great of late and I don't think too many eagles fans would disagree. I wouldn't put Ambrose on him.

I’d do it anyway. He’s so key to their system, don’t give him a sniff of recapturing good form.

I said NO! :D :thumbsu:

Haha it’s all good. All my talk of dropping Brown and playing Ambrose forward are just hypotheticals that I doubt will happen. But I’m just certain we’ll lose if we try to play the same system as last time.

My WC mate says Kennedy has carried injuries all season. Can not bend down to balls below his knees and struggles to run. Play Hooker on him and could turn this contest in to a positive for us. Ambrose/Hurley to Darling.

Yep he’s proppy. That’s why their midfield likes to put up to him on the lead.

We need our mids controlling the ball.

Not like last time where WC mids just win the ground ball over and over and chopped it around with easy short passes.

B Gleeson Ambrose Saad
HB Mckeena Hooker Redman
C Shiel Parish McGrath
HF Stringer Brown Tipungwuti
F Fantasia Mckernan Laverde
Foll: Bellchambers Heppell Merrett
Inter: Francis, Langford, D.Clarke, Ham
Emerg: Ridley, Zerk-Thatcher, Jok, Hartley

You’re good. Doesn’t matter who has the card. As long as it scans through green your friend will be fine.
Thanks - I meant more if they don't have the membership card on them.

Reason i ask is that i have a few mates in WA who might be able to get to the game, so was thinking of offering them use of my ability to buy/get a ticket (and drown out some of those boos). Haven't been a member for a while so have no idea what the rules are around it, and the website has nothing.
