On an individual player note - last night's five goals took Tory Dickson to 50 for the year. Sensational effort given he's labelled a vfl level hack most weeks by opposition supporters who "can't believe he's kicking goals on us"

Doggies fans better embrace the future cos it's looking so bright I gotta wear shades.

Those kids will be unstoppable soon. Wow.
Yes my thoughts too.

Little consolation to Dogs fans now but last night's performance was a classic case of young super talented side having to learn the hard way which is almost an essential element in development to being a premiership team. They will over time develop the smarts to slow down and control the play and win those sort of games.

Definitely think Dogs have the making of a premiership teamt over next few years

Thought hamling was very good last night. One of the few ex-cats players we've picked up recently that have come through (better than djerruka, moles and Callan anyway)

We just have to some how find a way not to end up like port of this season. Considering we will have a tougher draw and teams will play harder against us, it will be a challenge

Good learning curve for the young dogs better team on the night. Need to be more efficient in front of goals.

Yes there is a bit of angst Cats board about him being cut. Hes been pretty good all year hasnt he?

Serviceable. Has done a good job being the more lock down defender, allowing Easton wood to float.

Torched Jenkins hands down last night

I wish they had the same concerns about getting our fans to games when screwing us over year after year with our regular season fixture
Carlton had what, 6-7 Friday night games this year? Need to give at least 4 of them to the Bulldogs next year. Absolutely love watching them play. The complain about wanting high scoring games and all that? Well put the Bulldogs on TV then.

Tex may sound like a moron, but he has a great footy brain.

The moron part is more media crap than anything, all because when he was injured with his knee he had a couple of cold ones at a game and was photographed and the media (mainly the Sadvertiser morons) were up in arms.

He's a bloody smart bloke who has definitely matured in the past season. Walsh made the right call picking him as Captain over Dangerfield.

Was a very composed and lovely pass late in last qtr to the forward line (was it Betts?). You need to have all the above to do that

Its a no brainer isn't it? Surely they deserve a few Friday night games now

That was a few seasons before his knee injury...

What a cracking game. Commiserations Dogs fans, you deserved to win just as much as us I thought.

Give us the Dogs at AO on a Friday night next year - that would be an awesome spectacle.

Fabulous game of footy. Gee Charlie Cameron is coming on in leaps and bounds. I read a story about him the other day saying he came to footy quite late and is still learning how to play the game. He's going to be some player. Works really well with Walker too.
Yep. Grew up in Queensland, so he played rugby (which is why he's a good tackler for his size) until he moved to Western Australia as a 16/17 year old and then started playing footy. He's doing really well for a 2nd year player taken off of the rookie list, let alone one who literally may have only played 80 odd games of footy in his life, with 28 of those being in the AFL.

He's coming along nicely, use to burn the ball a bit and not convert goal opportunities but this year he's nailing a lot more. He started off very shakey last night and burnt a few opportunities but settled and finished off well. I'm always hesitant to talk up young players that hit the scene early but Charlie has made the most of his chances since coming off the rookie list in his first year of footy. I think the thing is is that he seems eager and willing to learn.

Question: how close is he to the most accurate kick for goal with over 50 goals in vfl/afl history? He'd have to be pretty close

Phwoar! Few froths too many? Look at your list disposition compared to ours. We aren't scarred (in 97 we should have won the gf), we're just getting started (we should have finished btm 4).

Enjoy being polaxed by the hawks and losing dangerfield next year while we cruise on upwards.
Maybe you should look at how many rising star noms the Crows have had over the last few year. Hardly a list in decline.

Brilliant? They lost. Crows were nothing special that's what made it a close and exciting game. Tiges or North would have done both those teams easy tonight.
Got high opinion of both those teams- Wouldn't have done them easy. As proven thru the year. Reserve a statement like that till after today

Great Game to Watch.

Welldone to the AFC for taking our chances in front of goal, brilliant effort to come from behindin the last 8 minutes and outscore the Dogs 2.4.16 to 0.1.1.

So proud of my great club tonight, and welldone to the 25,000 fans who payed lots of $$$$ to make massive noise at the G tonight.

Nothing like mentally scarring the Bulldogs again 18 years after the 1997 & 1998 Prelim Finals.
Your a flog !! Enjoy while you can. Wont last - GO HAWKS !!
