There will be a poll coming, it is starting to get down to the business end of the Eliminator. Last year I got booted in the 3rd round, this year with a little luck on my side, I am still fighting on.

How is everyone doing? Tell your great stories on how you survived.

Last week, it was basically down to the last game.

Half time Melbourne v Demons.

Me: 101 points v Them: Franklin _ Roughead + Cyril

Thought I was gone, last quarter comes around

Me: 22 points v Them: Franklin _ Roughead + Cyril

I walk away with a 15 points win, huge relief.

good thread, the other eliminator thread is getting a bit large.

managed to be top 100 last week so playing some guy who only scored 1590 or there abouts... but wondering whether its early enough to change trade plans to ensure an eliminator win. might wait another week before i start playing seriously.

Last week I took a massive Eliminator risk and made two downgrades to allow future upgrades. This caused my team to be slightly weaker than it could have been (sitting on $328,000). This week I may still go one up and one down, then the following 2-3 weeks should be all about upgrades.

The eliminator can play with your trading mentality if you're not careful.

still in, and what's more my opponent is a duddy team ranked 50k overall which scored 1900 last week (ranked top 2000 for eliminator). should pants him.

I'm still in, even after having a string of average weeks:

Round 6 - WIN
def Shermanators
2100 - 1767

Round 7 - WIN
def gary_ablett=star
1864 - 1727

Round 8 - WIN
def inVINCEable's
1872 - 1689

Round 9 - WIN
def THE CAP OFF
1914 - 1793

This week i face an opponent whose team, i can honestly say, is far less better than my own. My ranking after round 9 is 1516, whilst his is 5433. Although i'm a little worried as he still scored 1,800 last week with 2 zeros.

But the likely inclusion of Ablett back into my side in place of Tuck should help bolster my side further. :thumbsu:

im getting a tough early run with the eliminator. Have been in the top half of the draw every week and the better blokes ive played include a guy with an average of 1996 another with 1915 and this week 2015!!!!!

Hopefully i can pull another win out :S

Still in, my opponent this week scored 1,648 last week but is averaging 1,843, compared to my average of 1,865 so it could be veeeery tight. He has a star studded midfield of the regulars, Murphy, Selwood, Judd, Ablett - of which I only have Ablett, our forward lines are the same, we both have Cox, but our defence is completely different, so that's where it may be won or lost. Could be in for an absolute thriller!

Still sweating on whether to trade in whichever midfielder I want though...

I'm out, but I don't think it's stupid. I was really looking forward to it this year. Sadly I copped some injuries 2 weeks ago, and my opponent scored 1900. Oh well..

How many rounds are there left?

I think it goes until the end. I must admit, it would be nice to be able to 'watch' it as it goes on, as especially the 'Final' would be great viewing. :p
