We play garfield round 1 next year. Anybody heard how they are looking, eastwell still coach? Any locals gone back there?

Garfield is a great ground, will be another finals ground for sure. Could probably have the GF there in years to come.
 
Yeah cora lynn is good, garfield def finals venue though. Surface was fantastic last time i was there.

Any word on Soumalis, Allans, McFarlanes going back there or anyone else that left recently??

All the blokes that went to Drouin will stay.

Can't see the Allens leaving Cora Lynn, not with what they probably get paid.
 
Has anyone heard much about what Warragul have gained/lost for this year?

Hacve many left with Glover coaching Ellinbank? I hear that Lieshout has gone back to paky too, is this correct?

They are massive losses to Darnum. Is it also true they have lost the following: K.Martin (Sale), M.Michael (unknown), Quanchi (Seaford), Harris (Sale), Cann (unknown), Quirk (Bonbeach), Olney (retired) and still not definates are Aurisch & B.Martin. These players along with Bergles and Chandler will make the recruiting drive so very important for success in 2010! I make that 9 from the premiership team and 2 or 3 undecided. I hope they can counteract the losses.

Better than if they had have just travelled along at the bottom of the ladder for the whole time. At least they had a year of success. Who knows who might pull the boots on for Darnum this year. They were able to recruit nearly a full side last year, whats to say they can't do it again.
 
Has everone forgotten about the player points system for next year? No matter how much money Patto throws at players, unless they played with Darnum last year, you're not going to fit them all in. Same goes with Bunyip. It is more important now to focus on the development of your juniors or if you do recruit players from other leagues, recruit ones who will hang around for more than a year. It will be interesting to see if any clubs follow the lead of Keysborough in 2008 and play one short on the bench to ensure they are under the points cap.
 
So if darnum lose 9 they cant recruit another 9 of the same quality and stay under the points cap.

I think we will pick up 6-8 senior players but a few will be former players so should only get the 1 point.

I thought you would of enjoyed your view at ALL of darnums games last year.
