Darnum have also picked a few new players from different clubs aswell, also some more making a comeback that played 3rds and seniors a few years back prob only play 2's but there will be a good culture out there this year.

A good culture??? Cos a few blokes that have already quit are coming back to play. I would have thought it would be a good bunch of blokes, not a good culture. I can't see a clubs culture changing overnight cos a few guys have returned.
 
yea well good bunch of blokes then, i'm headin out there this year to have a run in the 2s for a change of scenery.

Does anyone have any info on the whisper that the league is considering to drop the thirds age back to U/17? If so, I think it would be a massive step backwards for the league as you see teams holding onto more juniors because they arent moving to a different league to play one more year against underdeveloped bodies.
 
The under 17 issue has definately been raised. Im with you, I think It's a big step backwards. I can tell you that Nyora has voted to stay with under 18s. Not sure how other clubs voted

I played under Lloyd at Lang. Was fantastic. His son Shane played a couple of games too. Gun fullback, is he still playing? I think he was at Hawthorn at the time, ended up captaining a VFL side i think. We were a crap team then but under Lloyd we went ok. Shame it all ended too quickly
 
used to mate played last season up in queensland in afl capricornia had an awesome year winning leage bnf, club bnf and got a best on ground in a winning grand final. good bloke to have around the club too.

Apparently a few players leaving poowong that finished in the top 10 of there BnF in 2011. Adams gone, o'hare gone, Daniel and ben Watson gone, Aust gone, Mullins gone. If I remember they played us most of these blokes were in there starting midfield. Hopefully they can recruit ok to cover the losses.
 
interesting that i see neerim has lost a couple but has also picked up a couple... what will their chances be??? will they be able to match it again and go one step further??
 
The Paky Gazettte had in it a while back that Chris Urie is heading up to play in Queensland, which will be a massive loss, while Nick Edney is returning from Warragul. Goodie may know of some more.
 
Urie will be a massive loss if he is leaving, Have heard that Alex Gavin from Warragul may be heading out there.
 
I have heard all of these rumours. NNS will be just as strong as they were last year. Mind you, it looks as though the competetions will be a lot stronger next year. Teams such as Garfield, CL and NNG will be very much premiership contenders, with NNS, LL and Dusties up there also. Hopefully KWR with their recruits will be more competetive.
 
Gavin has signed, should be a likely type in the EDFL. has most ruckman seem to be. Think one or two more are on their way also, to join leigh sheehan.
Dont know if chris is going to broadbeach any more hes carrying an injury and cannot run.
 
Dusties have picked up Troy Kneebone, Daniel Charles and Micheal Ablett plus more, Mike Santo back after his achilles injury aswell Ariki Matwijkiw is back fully fit after a broken hip 2 seasons ago there my pick for the senior premiership this year!!
 
It seemed the Dusties forward line last year cost them. With Santo and Ariki back they should be more dangerous. Kneebone will also play forward, but had a shocker year last year getting dropped from Drouin 1's, looked slow and heavy. Might get in Santo's way????? Charlesy will again be serviceable.

Stars picked up anyone yet??? Heard Tom Marsh heading up to Darwin after playing first couple rounds. Big loss!!!!

picked up a couple of good players from pakky.
 
Just read the warragul gazzette and could not believe that it had rankings for the interleauge coming up this year and it had mid gippy comp ranked between Ellinbank and alberton what a joke both comps would make mid gippy look stupid.Even teams out side the 6 in both edfl and alberton would challenge top sides in mid gippy
