While that's true, clubs have that minimum list spend rule. North's money has to go on someone, so they either overpay one of their kids (which isn't ideal given nobody wants to reduce salary as they age), or pay up for a veteran with leadership qualities. If Yeo was the best they could get, yeah it's not ideal, but it might be worth it in the long term if it lifts the standards around the club.

It's not like the Heeneys of the world are going to go to North. They couldn't get Dusty back when they weren't a basket case on the field.

2 years with a games played trigger for year 3 (75% of games or something) . 3rd year is at 500k too so a bit more reasonable

People can jump up and down about it, but who the F do we have to pay? Only so many contracts in the world you can frontload

Only thing you can say is that the Eagles are unlikely to have cap issues for a while so it's probably not a big issue but he'd be a big chance to play less than 10 games in each of those seasons.

Yeo makes sense for Eagles if the 3rd year is a trigger based year
Money is not important and they probably will struggle to meet the cap floor this year and can pay him $1.5 this year to make the next 3 years $400k years
