it’s actually insulting to suggest i’d be "fine" with the nazi salute. but i ascribe it to ignorance bc you clearly have not read or apprehended my anti musk posts.

it’s nonsense to censor that outlet while there are countless posters there who still post in a way that has not been inhibited and would piss musk off. it’s a question of being selective.

i think the diarrhea factory (newscorpse) is an outlet for gross misinformation but i wouldn’t want to censor it. that applies to the zuckerberg outlet and many others.

Anthing like Nazi symbolism is very topical given antisemitism is a go to for Dutton criticising Albanese, with very sketchy actual reasons

So it's the strongest it's ever been.
Let's face it, like most things in life, it depends on what you want to cherry pick to justify your viewpoint (on either side, not playing favourites)
You want ir to be the best it's ever been, so you'll spin it that way.
Others won't and will point to the other data claiming a reduction of around 25% in user base and counting etc.

I dont use it and dont care for it. I only interact with it via links here.

Since Musk took over it was constantly reported thst the end was nigh.

I'm just pointing out that this prediction has been monumentally incorrect.

i see your point but that would be a form of censorship. my first port of call is bluesky, but it has a way to go and many of the worthwhile peeps haven’t transitioned yet.
A boycott is not censorship.
A number of Reddit subs have chosen to ban Twitter links but have allowed screenshots so the content isn't censored but they can still boycott Twitter.

Don't think the end is nigh any fine soon, tbh.
It's going to become a right wing echo chamber, blue sky and others will become left echo chambers and the division and fracturing of discourse will continue.
Advertising revenue down, a lot of users are heading for the door, but there are some others to replace az least a fair number of those.
And all the while people's champs Donny and Elmo will laugh their arses off that the distraction of a sum total of three blokes worldwide competing in women's sports is the thing for us to fight over rather than banding together to fight our billionaire besties paying a sum total of two third of five eighths of **** all in taxes, siphoning subsidies and the other rorts they're up to

Strange diversion.

Strange diversion.
It works, have a look at the people here screaming at each other about the Daniel Penny thing in the US etc., Trump etc.
It's more important to make sure you're 100% in step with your team than anything else.
The Mars vanity projects go ahead all the while, tax breaks for the top 1% etc

Sounds like a plan.

"Stolen valour" is the perfect way to describe Elon.

He didn't invent Tesla. He bought it and immediately lied to get loans and subsidies to rapidly expand.

He isn't responsible for any of SpaceX's breakthroughs, but claims to be a leading engineer. (He isn't).

He made promises about Hyperloop that haven't even come remotely close to coming true.

He didn't invent twitter, and took a successful social media platform and is running it into the ground.

He went on Joe Rogan and bragged about how he's a world class gamer, but was revealed to be (obviously) paying other people to play his accounts.

Everything about him is phony.
Yeah on the podcast they noted the uncanny parallels from the gaming thing to his real world exploits lol

Haaaahahaha

Shit I've seen posted on this site in bizarre attempts to mitigate daddy Elon's IRL kek session;
  • AOC delivering a speech gesticulating with her arm (with no sound by the way, not suspicious at all)
  • Harris waving at someone
  • A singer performing at a concert
  • Superman flying
  • a Buzz Lightyear articulated action figure with its arm up (I am not making this up :tearsofjoy:)
  • Biden drinking water :tearsofjoy:
How has this has completely broken so many brains? Its unreal :drunk:

People may have come across this elsewhere online by now. Elon conveying his heart to the audience without a salute.

No confusion there, no having to reference his work with German political parties.

arrant nonsense m8. you kicked this off by asking the chief to ban (decide or say officially that something is not allowed, prohibit)‘x’ on bf. that is censoring pure and simple. so long as quality contributors go there i will follow them. i just don’t add content to the place. i suggest you just scroll through the ‘x’ links rather than force others away by way of block/censoring.

hopefully, over time, bluesky and perhaps others will put 'x' out of business. a recent survey on 'x' showed he's very unpopular in america.

individuals have always had it within their power to boycott. i'm with liberty victoria on these matters. there are specific cases where censorship is applicable. but i agree boycott and censorship are not the same thing. interesting that the person who kicked this off seems to now agree they are not the same thing.
