Hey MP EAD
I'm gonna watch this weeks game in glorious colour on my new smart TVs with the remote control well away from me so suck it up big boy

We're playing terribly, really terribly, but there have been some good signs mixed in the madness - Cotch's form has been good and we're going ok winning clearances etc. If we can tighten up our game plan and disposal, which are both correctable, we should at least be able to reach the same levels as last year.

We should all be Used to starting like this and feeling like this.
I am finding it funny though the way people are so early in the season. As for emotionally checking out I do find I am like that at games now, I just sit and watch the game without much emotion and even get bored at times. Probably more so in the past few years before they changed some rules.
But I'm still looking forward to each game and the season.

If the last few years have taught me anything, it's that 1-2 is impossible to come back from. Especially when you've got upcoming games in Perth. We always lose over there.
True. 1-2 is a long long way from 3-10!

I still cant believe you had a pioneer TV, my god a Pioneer ffs :p

I lived overseas dude some brands are not available in third world countries it's now a shiny Samsung smart tv

Sadly I've gotta say yes. Every year I do anything I can to get to games or at least watch them live if they or I am interstate. I even got up at ungodly hours to watch live streams online when travelling overseas.

This year I went to round 1 and honestly couldn't celebrate the mediocre performance. Watched round 2 and was reminded of the last 4 years of choking and stupid football. Couldn't even muster interest in round 3 and was the first game I haven't watched in 5+ years. Not expecting to bother with it this week either unless it "happens to be on". I just feel like we've come and gone. Peaked with mediocre success and now it is obvious that we don't have the class or depth to go anywhere. Hope I'm wrong.

Hands up who has checked out for the season after 3 rounds?

That would be me.

Pretty much the same for me too, Wang, only I checked out last 13 September around 5pm, while weeping in the carpark of the MCG. I explained the way it is for me here: https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/thre...ent-results-a-einstein.1128868/#post-43839299

I'll go to just as many games, and watch them all at least twice on replay, but I just can't find the same passion for win / loss this season. This season is just about fun, and individual storylines for me.

Pretty much the same for me, but I don't think it's rules that make it dull. Richmond play awful footy to watch, and have been for years. I actually find the VFL team more exciting to watch, even if they aren't often in the hunt. At least there's more contests during the game.

May I recommend a Bulldogs game or two? I find them great to watch.
