I am deliberately distancing myself emotionally. There have been games where I was incredibly dissapointed and a fair bit angry afterwards. I don't think that's good for me and would rather not go through that. I will still watch the games and even attend when I can though (I'm somewhat limited anyway because I have a new born to help look after). I will just have to try to detach myself emotionally somewhat.
This is what I was on about , Frank Grimes gets it

I'm sick of these bullshit starts to the season... If we had improved we wouldn't be making the same mistakes year after year.
I've had a good look at our list and think it not bad but we need a few players, but my real concern is the coach, I honestly believe hardwick is not up to it and we will never have success well he's incharge.

Dreamtime approaches dudes...and I can see Worsfold and on the whiteboard it has "this game is the one we target"...god forbid we lose that one because it will be carnage in here.

I can't afford another tv

I'm gonna watch this weeks game in glorious colour on my new smart TVs with the remote control well away from me so suck it up big boy
Don't you live in wa or something i might have read wrong? If so why aren't you going to the game the dr might need some support just in case he get's sick.:D

Hmm checked out. No need for me to do that because outside of game day i have never emotionally checked in. At no stage in the last 20 years have i bought into the notion that we are a top side or premiership threat.
Game day is a good time to vent and support the team win lose or draw game day is the day for emotion.

The emotional rollercoaster is why sport is so much a part of our lives.
Over celebrate the wins and over dramatize the losses, it's the theatre of it all.
The Tiges have their backs to the wall and this victory against the odds will be oh so sweet!

Or it will be another soul destroying loss, who knows!

GO TIGES EAT 'EM ALIVE

It hasn't been the same since the carlton final for me. It seems Richmond is the king of inventing new ways to disappoint.

But let's face it, after 30 years of shite it was never going to be all roses when we started making finals. We've progressed from Ninthmond to Firstfinalmond. In a few years we'll make 3 prelims in a row and lose em all. Then we'll make 3 grand finals in a row, and we'll lose them all as well. Then just when we're all about to die of heart attacks, suffer nervous breakdowns, descend into alcoholism and drug abuse, or worse, change our alleigances, we'll win one and Melbourne will be lit up like never before! And we'll become alcoholics! (for a good week or 2)
