what price will you get. No one is going to be paying overs for a 29 year old out of form kpd coming off an acl injury.

Don't know. He is more valuable to upper teams than lower teams. If you are Sydney say, and you lack a kpd and are in premiership mode, you would take the risk.

But obviously if you are saints or even lower, Carlton, clearly he is worth not much.

Who knows though, judging by its history, freo may offer its first pick.

Why would Brisbane want a 28 yr kp defender?

They aren't topping up for a crack at a flag are they?

GWS for a pick / pick upgrade is where the Eagles should be looking.

Because Merrett is cooked and needs to retire. Clarke was forced into retirement. And the only other KPD's we have are Andrews, Skinner, McStay and Hammer. They are all far too young and physically under developed to match it with the best consistently.

We need experience down back. McKenzie would provide that for a good three years while the others continue to develop alongside him.

GWS might be interested given their KPDs never stay healthy. I doubt they'd go overboard with it though, probably something similar to their Patfull deal.
No thanks
Mediocre player who had one good year, similar to Woewodin, Turley, Headland to name a few.
Definitely don't want, even for a 4th rounder or worse even o_O

GWS would be mad to not offer the Collingwood pick for MacKenzie. One teams yesterday is another teams tomorrow. EMac still has good football left in him, but looking at him now as opposed to 24 months ago; you can see a fresh start might do him some good.

I'd offer Adelaide's second for him.

Did you only start watching footy after the incrption of the giants?

Mackenzie has been good since 2011. He was also stiff for AA in 2013. Big blokes are known to be average the year after returning.

Another mature big bodied 195+key defender is what we should be looking at A 29 year old makes sense especially if we draft Macreadie and Patfull retires or plays one more year.A pick in the 20s seems fair if his poor form this year is because of him adjusting post ACL

Be interested in hearing what quality mids we have now? Shuey I think has quality but I can't see another one on our list. We need 3 quality mids not just one.

You have a good point. Shuey is the first but then it gets hard. Some might argue that Priddis, a Brownlow winner is quality but that's another whole debate plus he's also only got a few years left.

What about Freo? Barlow?

I wouldn't even look at it if they promised to give Barlow a 4 year contract on excessive pay and in the knowledge his shoulder was stuffed and there was no way he'd ever play again.

We need young talls. Not ACL recovering spuds who are valued through the roof due to one good year.

Wouldn't even give up Suban for it... check any of my posts about Suban to see where I rate him.

If the Eagles even contemplated a deal with GWS with McKenzie a straight swap for pick 20 wouldn't do it, not alone.

The Eagles should throw in other picks with McKenzie to get a better pick, GWS gets their man + academy points.

Eagles get the chance to draft a decent mid.
