Always thought Essendon should keep the red on red look, which differentiates them from Richmond and avoids doing a simplistic inverse.

Definitely should change it to a two-tone design like others have said.

yeah totally agree it was a really good point of difference from Richmond, looked really clean as well I thought.

Colourless shorts should have phased out like with the womens, white uniforms and shorts look weak and bare, umpires should be the only ones wearing them.

Geelong and North Melbourne have had white uniforms for the majority of their existence.
Clubs like Collingwood and Carlton also aren't going to drop white shorts, given it's their secondary colour (or in Collingwood's case pre-Eddie, their primary).

In the case of Adelaide, white shorts look better than the alternatives as an away colour.
