Essendon vow enough is enough

Next week the story will be about how Jake Stringer has learnt to love running, has had the preseason of his life and is ready to tear the competition apart.

Then a few second half fade outs, 2nd quarter huffing and puffing and a soft tissue injury in one of the early rounds.
The thing is he is eminently capable of playing well
I remember v Geelong early in the season last year he played stints in the midfield and was electric

I think they could be the big surprise of 2024. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are playing finals footy.

I don't think it would be that surprising if they made the finals. They were only 2 games out last season and you would think they have improved their team.

Winning a final would be the greatest shock in AFL history

If they finished 8 and Carlton 5 I would be conflicted, not gonna lie

I have my reservations about teams who '' vow '' to do certain things. Or maybe It could be a good omen. The reason being after we touched up Fremantle in the 2022 semi final. They came out after the game and said

'' We vow to win the 2023 Premiership ''

They didn't play finals and we won the Premiership. I would very much like for history to repeat.

How about those Pies eh?

According to Redman it is time for the players to take responsibility for winning games, which begs some very serious questions about who he thought was responsible during the previous 8 years of his career.
So many teams who didn't play finals in 2023 are saying they will make finals this season. I'm wondering who is falling out to make way for them all? Or has the final 8 been quietly expanded by the AFL?

So many fans and observers saying this team and that team has improved over summer, but can someone give me a list of 2023 finalists that have become worse over the off season, other than the Dees:rolleyes:
