I find it amusing that Hurley is untouchable. Disappointing is an under statement. If you get a great offer he should be tradable. He is not the player we thought he was going to be.

Injuries have softened his output dramatically and the new role he has learnt hasn't helped either. The potential is there, everyone can see that. I, along with alot of Essendon supporters will agree that his year has been underwhelming, he has ALL the tools to become a better than good key position player at AFL level, and given an extended run at it, should prove why Essendon were so keen to sign him up to a multi year deal.

After picks or players? If players what hole would you like to fill? Defensive small forward?

We need better inside midfielders, and possibly a good to very good outside ball winner.

We have small forwards coming out of our ears (Jason Winderlich, Nick Kommer, Alwyn Davey, Leroy Jetta). Despite the obvious need for an upgrade, we won't be selling the farm for a deffensive forward.

I would like to see him have a good run at CHB. He looks like a great defender that is better off being lead to the ball. His timing is out as a forward - he runs under the ball too often and i am mot sure he has very good hands - but the wrist problems maybe a factor. If he does not improve his output dramatically he will be yet another very talented player that failed to fulfill his potential. If you could get a Gaff or a Bennell for him I would seriously look at it.

I think he will become a very good FB. No matter what type of player is offered, I don't think Essendon would look at it. Internally, he is rated very, very highly.

suban is an inside midfielder ... 2nd string obviously and doesn't win overly much of it for his position but when he gets the ball his use is wonderful especially with the amount of pressure he's usually under

We have Myers who's already in the role.

We need depth inside midfielders

I was always under the impression he was a back flanker with a better than good kick? Different role in his career now I assume?

yer with duffield, clancee and ibbotson playing on those flanks he's moved into the midfield more. When either mundy or fyfe has been out he's started in the guts and with barlow same story. However he does not start before those guys and has beed played forward a bit (2nd Rotation), had a few games with 3 goals or so.
