He's cooked. He mailed it in this season and has paid a price. He should of took the offer to drive Indy carsDan's interview just then wasnt very convincing that he will be around next year. Was asked if he still wanted to drive in F1 next year, took him a while to finally say "Yes, if the circumstances are right" which to me sounds like "Yes, but not with a backmarker".
Was also asked if he would go back to Alpine and again was very hesitant to reply until he let out a very unconvincing yes.
In that case they should only be allowed to compete in Q1 to determine places 15 to 20 on the grid for the race
