Fagan makes changes every game...just because we (as supporters) don't see it doesn't mean they don't happen. The players & coach's never lost belief unlike a lot of supporters. Resilience and the will to win & never give up is a must in any professional sport. This group have plenty of that and more.Mighty Lions looks like assistants have found a way to get Fagan onboard with the changes! Fantastic results already!
Danny Daly is huge and such an intergal part of why this club is where it is now just as much as the ones you mention above. The 3 amigos. Swann, Fagan and Noble.
It's kind of weird that Fagan had to be told a few times and forcefully to change Berry by the line coach? I mean does that indicate Fagan is a dictator who only wants it his way or that he's lost trust in Bruce (maybe from previous advice?) and is hesitant?
Think it's Fagan rightfully copping it from the media which has led to internal pressure that has made him take a step back and reassess his approach. IMO. Fagan would have struggled to get another contract if we just dished up the same s**t and went out in straight sets but he's adapted.
TBH the team has changed a bit since finals and we are much better. If we go by stats (some think stats are the be all and end all) we 'look' a much lesser side without Lyons and his CP and clearance numbers but the way we play is definitely much improved particularly in the ability to apply pressure and take space from the opposition.
Fagan quote. So guess he's been overdramatic too?Lol so overdramatic.
A thing we've seen pretty consistently from Fagan is that he very is insistent on publically crediting his assistants when they want to make a tactical change and then it works. Reckon it's just his approach to expressing that this was Bruce's suggestion, one that Bruce was particularly bullish on.It's kind of weird that Fagan had to be told a few times and forcefully to change Berry by the line coach? merely questions.Spinning that quote into "dictator", "lost trust", and "hesitant"...
Seriously....thats hilarious. Dont mess a good story up with the facts mate. None of what you say is even close to the truth and shocks me to think people like yourself are so gullible to believe even 1/2 of what the media spew out of their mouth's to make theirselves relevant. Why can't you (and others) just have gratitude in our coaching staff & in the decisions they make? It's not like they don't have the runs on the board even before this finals series started. Fagan has been bloody awesome from the time he set foot in our clubs inner sanctum and continues to be awesome. Fagan copping it from the media is all white noise and total rubbish. It's kind of weird that Fagan had to be told a few times and forcefully to change Berry by the line coach? Fages said it was Cam Bruce's decision to move JBerry onto the ball in the second half.
Worth remember when one of the numpties on this forum has a go at him that he'd just won us our biggest match in 18 years
Yeah I’ll happily eat my hat on that one.
Still won’t stop banging the “get rid of Davis” drum though
Don't think he's interested .One thing I have always rated highly in a trade/coaching appointment is proven success - part of a premiership. We seem to be lacking on this front.
Heard a few negative comments about Hodgey's commentary - as in critical of us. IMO it is more he already has his coaches hat half on. I would move heaven and earth to have him as Fagan's offsider/heir.
Probably earn more money in the media?once an ex player is in media has there been many account of them then moving into coaching? not including those who go from coaching, to media, to back to coaching. i think voss was very briefly in commentary but dont remember any others
P.S. JL was never dropped. He has been injured like several others in the 22. I sincerely hope he comes back next year fully fit and ready to stick it up plenty who bag him...3rd in the B&F last year, runner up in the B&F in 2020. I'll back him in to play a big part of next years assault for the flag providing he gets his body right once again.

Genuine question - if JL wasn't dropped - first time he's not played in the seniors since he joined the club - then how can it be construed as not being dropped - when he wasn't selected and played reserves instead. i'd have thought if he was injured and not droped then he wouldn't have played reserves? Genuinely confusingP.S. JL was never dropped. He has been injured like several others in the 22. Even if JL wasn't injured he won't be coming back into the side unless Jerry is suspended IMO. He's not best 22 anymore.
He definitely is interested and has said as much quite recently that coaching is probably where his passion is. However as his kids are quite young and the media makes sense for him as he is able to get more time off to help raise them and be a Dad. I'd fully expect him to go into coaching in the next few years and likely at Brisbane or GC as he likes living up here.Don't think he's interested .
Doubt he wants to be Fages understudy either. Maybe when his kids are a bit older. Seems he's enjoyng life at the moment.

Hopefully they do a re-enactment for the 2022 Lions Premiership videoI'm pretty sure there was a coup de'tat/mutiny that occured at half time which is being covered up by Baghdad Fagan. Fagan was happy for another game for Mulligan and his plant Danny Daly was rubber stamping his decision. Luckily whilst Daly was out having his half time f** and pie with Zorko and Lyons Cam Bruce did a carpe diem speech after being shouted down and asked to leave by Fagan. J Berry then got on his desk and backed Bruce. Luggage, Bailey, Robertson and the other younger boys stood up with Bruce and duct taped Fagan to the ceiling of the dressing room. Neale agreed to the coup now that his Brownlow wasnt under threat. Fagan was absolutely ropeable that Bruce took over but he is playing the togetherness up for the media. Expect Cam Bruce to fall out of a hospital window or get hit with nerve poison from an umbrella in the next few days. Fagan never forgets. Dictator Chris' eyes gleam behind his iron spectacles.
