The Port Adelaide Football Club wishes to advise Cameron Falloon will not continue as head fitness coach in 2013.
Falloon - who joined the Power before the 2009 season - has chosen to depart the club to pursue new opportunities and to be closer to family in Melbourne.
His decision comes as Port Adelaide undertakes a significant restructure of its fitness, medical and physiotherapy department following a detailed review. Falloon believes that for him personally it is the right time to consider other opportunities.
Port Adelaide chief executive officer Keith Thomas thanked Falloon for his service.
“Cam has spent four seasons at Port Adelaide, developing the strength and fitness of our players, helping them prepare for and recover from games and guiding their rehabilitation from injury,” Thomas said.
“Cam is an experienced sports scientist with expertise gained throughout his career both locally and internationally and we are grateful that he has both shared and built on that with us at Alberton.
“We thank him for his significant contribution and his commitment to the club and we wish him well in the future as he heads in a fresh direction.”

Yeah, I'm no Falloon fan but it was Mark Williams who so badly miscalculated on the direction the game was heading in - less contested, need to draft lighter framed, outside players.
No doubt Falloon can take some blame but I have little doubt he was under instructions to physically prepare the squad in a certain way from the outset of his time with us.

Yep. A fitness guy who watches his team struggling to run out games should either evolve his program or leave. Falloon was allowed 2 years to change the program. He had his chance, now he can follow the "other opportunities".

Four years hey? The last three being the worst in our AFL history (ignoring the end of 2007), and not aided by huge injury tolls and frequent three quarter efforts. There is scapegoat material there, can't be denied.

My youngest son is an apprentice cabinet maker. There is casual labouring work available there.

I read the headline and thought WTF, NOT GOOD, OH NO, media will have a field day he had only just signed on.... mis-thinking it was Andrew Russell Darren Burgess (FFS teach me for being a male and trying to multitask... thanks FF)... heart resumed to normal once I got my bearings. Phew.

I'm sure he was handicapped by MWs and the aftermath... but we needed to remove almost everyone associated with those poor years.

Bingo! Recruiting has been a big issue but our power and strength due to not baulking up has been hopless and we couldn't run out games.

Just not fit enough. Some of our blokes are injury prone but they should have baulked up all that time they spent in the sheds.

Maybe they don't have the cardio vascular capacity. How much should they have baulked up? As much as Michael Tuck? Dustin Fletcher? Lewis Jetta?

Their body types where aided with great skill, too young to say anything about tuck. but fletcher with his go-go-gadget arms and lewis jetta with his lightning speed and goal sense. We have no skinny players with freak.
