Seemed like he wanted to make a proper announcement and Sam fluffed it. Browny said something along the lines of "You're not only announcing my retirement, you're doing it early." Have to wait till after the break though, Bloody hell.

sad if true, ripping bloke and player. Use to rip us a new one when playing hawks. Took the best mark ever aginst us too. His body just hasn't let him play to his best over the last 5 years.

Not to mention he hasn't been on the receiving end of half decent delivery into the forward line for about 4 years. Kinda expected it at the end of the year but still been dreading the announcement.
I hope he doesn't announce on the footy show when 80% of our supporters can't see it!

No official retirement. He says he hasn't given any thought to next year. Will make the decision at the end of this year whether to keep going.
