Subways a load of shit as mentioned for people trying to eat healthy /strict

Footlongs are packed with carbs. Even a six inch has about the carb intake of 4 slices of bread. That's just in the bread alone. Add meats, sauces, you're a carb crammed whore.

I think it’s the bread that people like. The rest is just deli meat and veggies. Apparently you can go there and just buy the footlong bread for a dollar or so.
The bread is what I think makes it get old pretty quick if you try and eat it even semi regularly. I like it but only buy it like once every 3 months.

Yeah I only ate it a bit regularly years ago for a short period when it was one of only a few lunch places near a work site. You get tired of it very quickly. Which is funny because a normal non fast food bun with salad, deli meats and a sauce I could probably eat for a very long time before getting sick of it, if at all.

Don't do take-away much these days as none of it is really that good and anything that tastes great is so unhealthy and gets costly for a family. I have weened the missus and kids off Maccas, they used to have it once a week/fortnight. Now maybe once a school term - kids don't actually enjoy it, they just enjoy the idea of having it - so often half of it goes uneaten (or i finish it as I hate waste) but get their happy meal toy. The family box deal is good if on a road trip and need a quick bite to eat. If we do get takeaway at home for dinner its usually local Pizza home delivery.

If I get take-away for lunch it will usually be a Vietnamese pork roll, probably get that once a fortnight. Subway very occasionally and sushi every now and then. Couple of Dim-sims for the odd snack.

Maccas and hungry jacks have upped their prices majorly. A year ago if that I was paying $10.50 for a large qtr pounder meal. Payed $11.95 today. Massive increase in 12months. KFC easily the best deals. 3 piece feed is cheaper than a nasty qtr pounder meal.

Virtually never. Preparing meals is pretty ingrained. If I'm going to be out of the house for more than 6 hours I'll probably bring something along. I've never been much of a restaurant person either, more of a social obligation than something I actively seek out. My brother was a chef, so we are very different in that respect, he often cooks up lavish meals I've never had before whereas I'm fairly efficient (never have food waste or create a huge mess). I just don't care enough about food to spend big on it, more enthusiastic about other things in life.

If there is a solid, affordable pizza/fish n chips/asian takeway nearby, then I might get into a once in a blue moon pattern, but that's about it.

Routleys has gone backwards.

Surf coast is a pretty good barkey.
that is what happens when you go from a small bakery in Sunshine with a few shops to a massive mass produced place in Geelong

Maccas is a Rip, just paid 5.10 for a large coffee. HJs just use the vouchers. Honestly best value for burgers is local fish n chip shop
