Parmi burger just sounds like it would be soggy.

A schnitzel with tomato sauce and cheese on it already has a limited life span before it turns to mush, wrapping it in a bun just accelerates that.
Sacrificing crunch/goo/chew/taste ratios by upping the carb to protien ratio for portability and marketing menu appeal

Went to McDonald's to use some instant wins from the monopoly so I ordered in store rather than drive through. Anyway some grumpy old coot was in there and demanded to speak to the manager. Turns out his issue was he ordered a large cheeseburger meal and was annoyed at the size of the cheeseburger as he thought he was ordering a large cheeseburger. Would have felt sorry for him but he yelled well that's the biggest ****ing rip off I've ever seen so I laughed at him as he left

FWIW the Sporting Globe range of pubs in WA are also doing the coloured burger thing for SoO. I assume non WA SGs are also doing it.

Re: Crunchified chicken it's actually pretty good and they used to have a deal of 6 pieces for $10 that was good for two feeds pretty much. It's definitely worth a try.

Amazing seeing what Macca’s charges these days, when at a pub not too far from me I can get a $15 chicken parmigiana (which is massive and comes with heaps of chips and a nice salad) and pint meal deal everyday of the week.

Still pretty cheap here but usually I'll use an app to take advantage of offers.

Side note, I don't think I've ever had a nice salad with a parmigiana. It's normally wilted lettuce with a little cucumber and carrot.
