It would be Campbell over shorter distances, he is an absolute super bullet, followed by Alwyn Davey. But for longer distances like 80-100m Deledio would have to be right up there. However I clearly remember Judd catching him and grabbing him when they were playing at Subiaco a few years after both went on a memorable run/chase.

i'll never forget the day when i saw deledio easily outrun juddy in perth when he was at the height of his powers....
he burned him....
i could here the sizzle from melbourne

Where is Wojack?

My vote would be him, but my policy is to back Judd no matter what the situation.

Where's Wojcinski? everyone knows he's the fastest player in the league.

you should of set out this poll differently. instead of having a bunch of fast players you should've picked the fastest known player from each club then put them head-to-head:

eg.
essendon: winderlich
geelong: wojinski
richmond: deledio
collingwood: thomas

so on. and yeah, as i said, put them head to head. :thumbsu:

What they said - where's Wojcinski

The question needs much more defining. To me speed comes in many forms. For instance who would be the quickest player carrying the ball? Lovett springs to mind because he baically runs at full pace and bounces the ball perfectly.

Then there is speed off the mark and in confined space. Pearce, Rioli, Davey brothers are all examples of this.

There's other types of speed such as prolonged burst. Usually this is something forwards need so they can make multiple leads up to or over 50 metres. Rusling springs to mind with that.

Just ask Ben Cousins!:thumbsu:

Also get a replay of the Friday night game NM vs Geelong where Matty Campbell burns him off and boots the goal making him look like a snail.

Yes Campbell kicked a goal on Wojo but he hardly burned him off. Campbell doesn't run from the wing, around 2 players and kick the ball fifty?

Close between Deledio, Lovett, and Alwyn.

But i'd have to say Alwyn.:thumbsu:
