Ted Richards - He won me over when he single handedly dragged us back into the game in the second half of the '06 GF. You could tell how badly he wanted that premiership.

He's no star but he's a courageous player who always gives his best for the jumper.

Brent stanton - even before he was being jeered I have had a soft spot for him. Mainly becuase in a time were we drafted nothing but duds (Bullen, richards, bradley etc) he was the only half decent player we had and before jobe came on stanton was looking like being our only decent midfielder post hird, jj etc. So to the rest of ya (mainly bomber supporters hehe) Get Stuffed!

Other is Jobe Watson for a guy that has none of the attributes of the modern day star midfielders (ablett judd) to be able to turn himself into a champ through hard work and dedication is worthy of great praise. And to those who think he isnt one of the best players in the comp GET STUFFED!

Also love watching David Rodan, Adam Goodes, Dustin Fletcher, Brad Sewell, Jonathan Brown

Forgot to add a host of Geelong players... but I figured it went without saying. Anyway, I love watching Varcoe in full flight, Bartel is so consistent and Scarlett is as well.

from my mob; Matty Scarlett.
For years Geelong were a good attacking side but had barely a decent defender among them.
In my time watching Geelong, I'd rate perhaps only Mark Bos, Kenny Hinkley and to a lesser extent Tim Darcy and Mick Mansfield as good Cats defenders.
Scarlett slipped unobtrusively into the side as a back pocket, and did his job for two seasons without any fuss.
But he steadily evolved into an extraordinary defender.
Love watching him play; the way he balances tight checking defense with setting up attacks from the backline. He usually still finds time to give his defensive team mates a chop-out too with a timely spoil or tackle.
Has a ruthless streak which I love too.

for the other mobs; I enjoy watching Adelaide's tall forwards in action; Tippett and McKernan - been disappointing that Taylor Walker has been out of the side.

Jon Brown for Brisbane is a champion.

Kade Simpson and Heath Scotland at the Blues are very solid players.

Pendlebury is an amazing player, he was labelled an outside player early in his career by some but he has evolved to become the complete midfield package, he is as slick as they come.

I admire Dustin Fletcher a great deal, been around a long time (I remember his debut season pretty clearly though !) and seems to be one of the games gentlemen, top-notch defender too obviously

Sandilands and Hill from Freo are both pretty unique players, love how Sandilands went from just being freakishly tall to being freakishly tall and exceptionally good - Stephen Hill is just a joy to watch.

Drew Petrie is a big-hearted tall; one of the most versatile, hard-working bigmen in the comp, would love him at the Cattery

Melbourne's Liam Jurrah almost goes without saying, surely no-one could dislike this bloke or the way he goes about it, just a brilliant forward

I dont mind a bit of Jack Riewoldt action; reminds me a of Gazza sr a bit with his marking style (less brilliant though, but then again there is only one Gary Ablett - oh hang on, there's two innit ..).
Dustin Martin is a future champion, a bit of a throwback too ..

Lenny Hayes; hope this bloke returns from his knee injury to play a couple more hard-nosed seasons, deserves success as a reward for his tireless hard work and fearless approach.

From the Swans (probably my 2nd fave team); Goodes, Kieran Jack, and big Mummy, even though he defected from Geelong, are all wonderful to watch

the Doggies Dale Morris is one of my favourites too, great pure defender, an old-school backman. Also Brian Lake when he is up and running

NicNat is unique and exciting when he is 'on' too ...

that's quite a few players I have named, could probably keep going, but overall Matty Scarlett is the man in my eyes :thumbsu:

Been Joel Selwoods biggest fan since day dot.

but seeing as how this seems to be for the more low profile players.

Ive always been a fan of David Wojcinki, the moment i remeber best was i think back in 2002 we played the pies. Wojo streaked down the half back line through the centre of the G with 4 bounces and hit stevie J in the pocket. That was the first real time I noticed his break out speed, and he has obviously had a few highlight reel breakout runs in his career.

May not be a reliable or consistant star, but great to watch:thumbsu:

Beau Waters. Man plays football the way i play life.
Your always facing injury setbacks and have a taste for goldfish?

Love watching the big forwards, but also like watching the things about players that make them special - Fyfe in the air, Hill burning guys, Rich's kicking when it doesn't even look like he's looking up field and he hits a guy lace out. Lenny Hayes in close. Bartel one on one, whether in the air or on the deck is a joy to watch.

Luke Hodge, Eric Mackenzie, Sam Fisher, Josh Kennedy's, Beau Waters, Kieren Jack, Ben McGlynn, Tom Swift

Tom Murphy, coz he's playing some awesome footy and sticking it up the haters (mostly his own clubs supporters) go Murph :)

oh and Buddy & Cyril coz watching them every week is magical :D

Overall...Brendan Goddard...great too watch, plays every position, and takes a hanger, which I love.

From my team...Ricky Bobby Petterd and Col Garland. Underated, stars in my eyes.

From other teams...loved watching Brian Harris mark when everyone else would punch...even liked Brian Lake who was similar later on :)

Never seen the likeness... ;)

From my own team the Q wins by miles. Obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed, but blunt objects are more entertaining anyway.

Nic Nat obviously, because he does some ridiculously amazing things then does something awkward that you just can't help but laugh at.

From other teams...Juddy. Guy broke my heart but he's still a god

Adelaide: Thompson
Brisbane: Maguire/Black
Carlton: Judd
Collingwood: Cloke/Reid
Essendon: Watson
Fremantle: De Boer
Geelong: Enright
Hawthorn: Franklin
Melbourne: Trengove
North: Swallow
Port: Carlile
Richmond: Deledio
St Kilda: Riewoldt/Gwilt/Fisher/Hayes/Dempster - quite a few from the Saints.
Sydney: Goodes/Malceski/Bradshaw/Jack
West Coast: Kennedy
Dogs: Griffen/Morris

Can't believe no one has mentioned Simon Black Yet! for mine he is the perfect role model for any up & coming young midfielder, the ultimate professional who just sticks his head over the pill and gut runs all day!

From my club Dustin Martin, I literally yell 'DUST!' every time he gets the ball and usually it's justified as every possession tends to be amazing.

From other clubs Jimmy Bartel. One of my favourite footy memories was pegging him for the 07 Brownlow in about round 5 of that season. I've always absolutely adored how the bloke goes about it.
