Fev arrested

Dumb is the operative word.

Fevola should be thinking of his kids and the fact he'll be cleaning toilets if he isn't playing football. The eldest is approaching the age where she's old enough to understand what's going on. Will wake up one day and kick himself for pissing away a lot of money on alcohol and gambling.

The Saints just popped a bottle of champagne...

Should of tried spending it with his kids for a change - ffs, how old is the guy now. Deserves everything he cops and more

At least there is a new scandal on the mb and maybe part 4 or is it 5 now can die

I'm probably on my own here but I feel sorry for the guy. He really needs some serious help and he's just not getting it.

Or maybe he's been given it in spades and chosen to ignore it. All the help in the world sometimes doesn't stop a ****wit from acting like a ****wit.

You can't literally put him on a leash.

I'm waiting for a fair and objective criticism of Jonathan Brown's leadership off the field, especially by the same people who criticised Judd for not being able to control Fevola :thumbsu:

well until brown runs a team party and hand cuffs under age players and forces them to get legless drunk...best not make the comparsions mate. not going to win this argument

Lol - runs a party?
Hand cuffs underage players? Casboult was already 19
Legless drunk?

Haha way to distort the truth, I think Brisbane's littany of off-field incidents over the past 2 years will go close, especially for all the 'great leadership' claims Brown gets.

It's not Brown's fault, just like it wasn't Judd's fault. Neither should be responsible for the actions of their teammates away from the footy club, especially those who should be old enough (ie. not teenagers/young guys just starting out) to know better like Fev. They're not babysitters.

Who cares. Since when is telling a police officer to shove it a big deal. The fact they waste court resources for something that will result in a $200 fine just shows you how hopeless cops are.

Somebody needs to help this guy see what he's doing and accept responsibility for his actions.

Still don't think its a sackable offence. Its fairly minor in the great scheme of things. I see this more as pointer to a bloke needing help rather than a shooting. Just my 2c.

He has had every opportunity to get himself right and still acts like a complete dick. Most people in his situation would have sworn off alcohol many years ago for the sake of his career/family/future

You do have to wonder whether Fev would be in the situation he is now if he had the same support from family that Cousins did.

The reality of it is that Fev has probably been as destructive to his career/family/friends as Cousins was.

Try living in a world without police. Law breakers have to be dealt with, regardless of whether they are AFL players or you or me. The police are just doing the job they are instructed to do.

fev shouldn't have gone to st.kilda when he had the chance....a better compatible culture
I agree 100% that he shouldn't have gone to St Kilda, luckily he didnt and has his Carlton compatible culture up North...the one where they have more to spend on players than other teams, except I guess they got more value and no penalties for their extra dosh :D

1) the carlton leadership group organised the boat cruise? and judd attended and let senior players
2) was there not 17yr players on the cruise? Casboult dad was the only parent to go public? my point was that the senior players were forcing young players to over drink by hand cuffing them...good leadership from judd?
3) yes young players were legless...that is well known. why else would a parent go public?
4) End of the day captains can't be players parents in the offseason and on time off...but if you want to compare captains I suggest you better consider the "off field leadership" your teams captain displays

mmm...love how getting arrested for being drunk and talking back to police sends the board crazy like it is the crime of the decade

seems to me fev's on-going alcohol behavioral issues is a good vehicle for other teams supporters to get excited at the opportunity to forget their teams past and present problems...the saints must love that the heat of their on-going school girl pregnant drama dies down a bit

one thing for certain is that the sooner the lions part ways with him the better. Fev's issues bring more negative press then way more serious incidents like didaks underworld suburbia shoot up, the crows drink driving problems, the eagles, freo & hawks drug culture etc..

lotsa footballers get in trouble pony but fev's the only one with a revolving door at the local lock up with his name on it

true mate...still fevs issues are pretty harmless when you look at past issues in the afl. But I guess when like you say fevs problems are like a revolving door its disappointing, and you have to wonder what lies ahead in the future with him.

still bigger issues in the afl that get quickly washed aside...fev just provides a continue stream of small incidents that makes good news and makes money for the media...they must love him
