Fev arrested

I think you have NFI what the actual situation is and are basing all your comments on a few media headlines. How about you actually let people who know the situation deal with it and focus on the positives of the club.
well how many more chances do we give this guy huh? he shouldnt of put himself in this position PERIOD - especally after the senario we had last year with the group of players being idiots. He should know by now where he goes the media goes and want to print these stories whenever given the chance - he shouldnt give them that chance

If you think that the club is going down the right track with Fev then YOU have NFI. I see someone who needs professional help and what whatever we have done has clearly not worked - I dont need the media to see that.

because defending someone to a bunch of 10 year olds is top priority for some people:rolleyes:

Lion's supporters shouldn't have to defend Fev. The fact he's a knob is not their fault.

There must be a few though that wish Daniel Bradshaw was still there.

well Daniel was using the go home factor every time his contract was up to get more money - he wasnt 100% the victim thats for sure.

Im more pissed off how Rischa was treated to be honest

agree roosters. The club has done a fine job with fev for the time we have had him.not.
sheesh.

Granted, but he kicked his 2 or 3 goals a week and didn't cause any trouble. He wouldn't be the first player to use some excuse like homesickness to get more money.

Fev on the other hand was just a can of worms waiting to be opened.

Except the can was already opened.

needed to be. he had that official warning and suspension lat last year.
Official warning Null and void now as he was cleared.

With the contract size you'll want something real major before they can sack him without having to pay him. You haven't got the ability to pay him out. With little misdeamours you can only fine him 5 grand and suspend him. Then for not long. Alot of money to be paying for someone to sit on the sidelines when you're trying to win games.

Anyway, they're doing what they only can do now, sending him off on indefinite leave for professional help.

I think the Lions had a bigger problem last week in that restaurant. Alot more serious.

i doubt they'll get rid of him. money will be a big factor in them not getting rid of him

that's why the lions will be in a hole for a while to come

He gets deregistered by the AFL for bringing the game into disrepute. He is therefore unable to meet his contractual obligations and Brisbane can cease paying him.

AFL want him out of the game (how hard did they go after him re the recent complaint by the woman in Brisbane) and want Brisbane cap issues fixed. Doing this to Fev kills two birds with one stone.

His only hope will be GWS and Sheedy in a years time and as they are owned by the AFL, it is highly unlikley to happen.

Try living in a world without police. Law breakers have to be dealt with, regardless of whether they are AFL players or you or me. The police are just doing the job they are instructed to do.
Think you will find that some cops are as bad as criminals. You only have to do a little searching on the internet to which cops have been done selling drugs to crims.

And here we are 12 months later, Fev's been traded, Houlihan, Betts & Walker copped punishments for their behaviour on the day/night of the so called 'booze cruise' & now all is quiet on the Carlton front.

In contrast, Fev is in trouble again & barely a week ago, Jamie Charman is apologising for the behaviour of some of his teammates at a hotel, following an incident in which a female was allegedly assaulted by a Lions' player.

FWIW, if any 17 year olds were on that cruise (which I doubt very much), if any of them were served alcohol during the cruise, that would mean the licensee has acted in breach of the liquor licence & the licensee would have been penalised by the Licensing Commission. I'm not aware this occurred, but we do know that Crown Casino was penalised for Fev's little effort at the 2009 Brownlow Medal.
I was actually talking to a cop who mentioned some very interesting facts about some past carlton players... I'd say the club has a cultural problem that stretches to the wrong side of the law.

Unfortunately, I think it is time for Lions to drop Fev. Whilst the beginning of the season showed what 'could' have been, it all went down hill from there - And the off field antics are just too frequent!

Give Aaron Cornelius more game time, I think he is a future star, and Toddy Banfield will make a massive impact on 2011!

My first post here and only been following AFL for 12 months (Pom) so go easy on me :)
