Borgnine is a legend. Hard working actor, even appearing in feature films with great casts up until 2010/2011 and still doing smaller roles up until his death. 95 years old, good innings. Tell you what, he was alert and seemingly in good shape last time I saw him. Looked at least 10 years younger.

R.I.P Darryl Cotton !!

I was saddened to read of his passing this morning. My wife & I saw him in concert, with Russell Morris & Jim Keays, in Sydney in May & at the time he looked pale & somewhat unwell. It was on his return to Melbourne he was diagnosed with liver cancer, so this has happened so quickly. Cotton will be sadly missed, particularly by those of us who have enjoyed his performances with Morris & Keays in recent years.

Ooh ooh ooh .. you know you are getting old when two of the four Sweathogs are dead.

I hadn't seen him anywhere since aside from getting his arse kicked in Celebrity Boxing at the age of 53, although IMDb tells me he has been working regularly.

RIP

RIP Tony Scott

Top Gun director Tony Scott has died after jumping to his death from a bridge in Los Angeles County, according to reports.
Scott climbed a fence before jumping "without hesitation" from the Vincent Thomas Bridge, the Contra Costa Times reports.
A suicide note was found in the 68-year-old filmmaker's car, which was parked beside the bridge

A great innings of 95 for Phyllis. What an entertainment staple she was. One of the last links to the variety shows of yesteryear. Just a whacky, fun loving broad (in her vernacular I suspect).

I feel myself getting older by the day every time somebody shuffles off.

That's a shock. Didn't even know he had the heart attack in July. Loved him in Green Mile obviously, but also in Armageddon and The Whole Nine Yards.

Farewell Frankie Figs.

Herbert Lom from The Pink Panther movies...

'Sons of Anarchy' actor was unraveling
The 28-year-old actor had spent two seasons playing Kip "Half Sack" Epps on the popular "Sons of Anarchy" motorcycle-gang drama and was steadily landing movie roles.

But behind the scenes, Lewis was unraveling.

He was arrested three times this year, drowning in drugs and mental health issues, according to court records and those who knew him. The problems culminated Wednesday in a bizarre altercation in Los Feliz, where police say the actor fatally bludgeoned his 81-year-old landlady and attacked a painter and a neighbor before falling to his death.
