Mega Thread Finals Ticketing Thread: Keep it here and please read the OP

That time of the year is here again; furtively vanishing at work for twenty minutes while we log into Ticketek with our barcodes and endure their website to purchase tickets. All members should have received instructions from the AFL about the protocol for ticket purchases. It seems the pre-registration of barcodes is a thing of the past (I hope!).

We will certainly endure some frustration over the coming weeks getting good seats, having the website time out, etc. especially with a Qualifying Final looming against the biggest club in the AFL.

Until the end of the season, this thread can be the place to discuss all of it.

PLEASE NOTE

You may find you have tickets during the next month you cannot use. May happen to me this week.

Every year we have people looking to use BigFooty as a place to dispose of unwanted tickets. If you want to give those tickets a new home with a fellow hawk, by all means lets us know about it.

We ask that all sales are for face value or less only. No markups, no recovering costs incurred for purchase, no bundling a ticket with another item (Can of Coke $250 - Includes Ticket). As a community with a common interest I hope we can deal fairly with each other.

According to the Hawks Membership twitter feed, each membership barcode can get 2 tickets (1 for member, 1 for guest) so you should be fine with just 2 barcodes tomorrow

I will be outside the ticketek outlet at 8.30, to be on the safe side in case its packed. I went there the same time last year, i had to stand in the cue for about 2 hours it was bloody full.

First time silver member this year. Does this guarantee a ticket to the finals?? Do I need to contact Ticketek??? Do I just get guaranteed access up to a certain timeframe??

I looked at the AFL site. Members tickets on Monday. Do I get my normal seat, or do they have different seating arrangements.

hmm think theres a thread for Ticketing somewhere and yes you can buy tickets, you should of got an email with relative info. You wont get your normal seats but can choose where you sit depending on how much money you want to spend.

Great idea Mess was hoping this sort of thread would pop open.

I will buy a premium ticket tomorrow. However, whether or not I will go will depend on my progress of my work on Thursday evening. If anyone is un-sure about their movements later in the week and would rather not sacrifice cash flow for a ticket they might not use, keep this post in mind PM me and I will get back to the first person on Thursday lets say 7pm.

Bear in mind you will sit with about 7 22-26 year olds (all hawks).

Hi DESTRUKTOR,

There are no guarantees for tickets with a Silver membership. Firstly, for weeks 1-3 you must purchase a ticket on Monday between 9am - 9pm. You get access to 2 tickets per membership and you must present the barcode number on the back of your membership card.

For the Grand Final, ticketing information will be mailed to you this week. Members must register for a Grand Final ticket using the instructions in this guide. As a Silver member, you have 2nd Priority in obtaining a ticket through our membership allocation. This means you will most certainly enter the ballot for remaining tickets after our 1st Priority members have been allocated.

Couldn't get 8 in a row in platinum seating (didnt really want to sit behind the goals which is where it was offering for less tickets), managed to get 8 in m51!

Ah for heck sake, you forget how painful this process is after a year out of it eh? Anyhow, got my tickets, but not without some stressful technical issues that meant my time elapsed just as I was about to punch in my credit card details the first time. Had to go through it all again but got there in the end. It is frustrating that I can't buy standing room tickets. I've got 2 bronze seats behind the goals in the southern stand, row JJ.

We always stand in the olympic stand around m53 (where my silver membership seats are) so if anyone wants the 2 x JJ M3 seats I have, I'm completely happy to swap you for whatever tickets you have, as we'll stand anyhow. Just PM me I guess.

Probably not a good idea, but checked my other cards. I could have bought 24 seats under the member +1 thingo (6 vic, + 6 tas gold).

I reckon there will be some randomly very good available seats later on.
