Did anyone here get tickets that said Hawks members, very strange the amount of swans member tickets we seem to be getting.

I am also a Gold member who was given swan tickets

Did you select 'seated only, no standing room' in the ballot?

had to selected seating only as i went in the ballot with somebody who's barely 5'3, would have been happy to get standing room.

As has been stated plenty of times - your level of membership has nothing to do with the quality of the seats given. It just decides the order you go I to the ballot.

Interesting though, the system used for AFL members. They were able to log in and choose pretty much where they wanted to sit, with far greater precision than I've seen for any of the other finals. Eg Level N, or Level M Great Soutern stand etc. This shows ticketek have the ability to do it - so why don't they more often? Compare this to the Platinum / Gold etc choice offered in the first weeks of the finals or the ballot we all just sat through. Seems they could tighten the system if they chose to.

This is my first ever post, so bear with me. I was allocated tix in Q35 Row T x 3 and as a P1 member I was not overly impressed, but happy to be going. My concern was that it showed Swans Members. So I called the normal Ticketek number and they were of no help, so I called the Registration number and spoke to a very helpful person. He said, that Swans members had not taken up their entire allocation, and that what I was seeing in my Ticketek account was wrong. He said that what I need to do is login again at 9am tomorrow and it will show the correct details. Now I don't know if that is just for those who were showing Swans Members or not, I'll just check again tomorrow I guess. But at this stage my card has been charged for Silver seating. I'm not holding out that anything will change, but if P2's are getting better seats (not their fault) then I'm not happy.

Never attended a game in standing room before, can anyone comment on what it's like? Does it significantly detract from the experience?

I think you might misunderstand. I'm a Kennedy member, P1. I got Silver tickets. So be it. What the issue seems to be is that there are P2 members ending up with Gold seats. Why aren't all the Platinum (if they exist) and Gold tickets not being exhausted on P1 members? Surely, this is the way it should be?

It makes no sense that a P2 member gets a better seat than a P1 member.

Hell yes! Q36 row x. Nosebleeds Ponsford stand. I work for Cityrail up here so can get a discount sleeper berth. 178 return. Flying solo and never been to Melb. Train gets in at 8 am so have time to kill. Any suggestions, decent watering holes?

Yes but don't they allocate priority 1 first and then p2 and if any left p3?

A bit bummed, I'm short so I don't think I'll get a good few, would prefer pretty much any seats at all, but oh well.

Has anyone been to standing-room only before? What's the deal?

P.S. I'm pretty sure they allocate who is getting a ticket first and then randomly allocate the seat evenly ot everyone... Anyone getting upset because of their gold membership not getting good seats, they specifically said in the letter that gold membership doesn't entitle you to a better seat, but just guarantees that you get one.
