How many clearances do you think Wallis would have ended up with? Wouldn't be surprised if he got double figures. Was really impressive today.

Bontempelli. Wowsers had a fair game! Clearly BOG
Wallis had a lot of clearances. 10+
Had a really good game and was a major reason for our dominance through the middle.

I sort of concentrated on the key backs in this game because that area has been 'revolving doors' this season. Granted it was a very good win but a couple of players have gone a long way backwards. Young - has no body contact ability whatsoever and has lost a yard of pace. Can't see any way back for him. Likewise Austin, was a good fill-in player last year but he looks very ordinary this year. Talia - despite the many posters who railed against him being dropped, there are still many holes in his game and a long apprenticeship seems appropriate.
Of the others, unsure about Hrovat's progress - has he lost a yard of pace since being drafted - wary of upper thigh weakness? Jong - looks more suited to this level.
Midfield all very good. Bonts a class above - give him a couple more big roles in the VFL to build fitness and then into the seniors for a few full games.

Ever tried to play this game if you have shoulder problems ? I have and it can make it very hard to compete with any confidence.
Think we should cut I'm some slack.

Find this a bit concerning because someone said it's a recurring injury that needs management. Did we know that before we drafted him?

KH was talking about Talia and the recurrent shoulder injury is apparently Fuller. I've asked someone who is more familiar with Fuller whether this is a long-time issue or an injury that's only started this year, so I'll let you know when I hear back. :thumbsu:

Did anyone else out there see what I saw or am I one out thinking he was having serious problems.
You can still play with shoulder troubles , but think Tommy W and Ayce , but has a big impact on your confidence and output.

Really enjoyed watching this game.
Bontempelli just made every player in the immediate vicinity look stupid on so many occasions, he's going to be an unbelievable player.
Honeychurch was hard at it all day and it came off sometimes and not other times. Can't fault his courage and effort and his positioning was good, he'll be a ripper as he gets more time and development into him, and having our own VFL side is just tailor-made for players like him.
Certainly wasn't Fuller's worst game, after an early scare he looked reasonably comfortable. Wouldn't mind seeing him running a bit more and using that cannon of a left boot. Hopefully his shoulder's okay.

What did everyone who watched think of Christian Howard's game?

Yeah, I thought there was a glimmer of hope. Put 10x the effort in today that he did in the earlier games I'd watched, his run and carry was good and his disposal by foot was reasonable.
When we're turning over the list so much it's easy to write him off but he's at the right age to start building some form and breaking in to the side, if he's every going to.

Aish will be a beauty but got a feeling Bonts is gunna be special KH....

Yeah TD , just watching Aish now , and he's a smooth mover. But as you say big Bont may be quite special.
Bulldog fans are entitled to get a little excited about him.
Fast forward 2 years he may well be a star of the competition.

Best all round game I have seen Howard play. Need to see a few on end before I'm convinced he has turned the corner. Was pretty easy for most of them today.
Smith , Walis , along with MB and Goodes early set up a pretty bruise free win.

Even last year Howard played a couple of good games, which would be followed up by poor ones. Needs to put togethor a good month to 6 weeks at least to prove himself

Was Howard's best game that I've seen for mine. He wasn't amazing or anything of the sort but it was a very good game. Hopefully he can build on it.

It was good given what we've come to expect however he's far to "outside" for me and doesn't hurt enough for someone who plays that way imo...

They did work on his inside game last year, had him laying quite a few tackles and getting some contested ball, but his disposal under pressure is just awful.
