Laird has really frustrated me in the last 12-18 months. When he first came onto the scene he was an animal. He had McHenry like tenacity and aggression, refused to give his opponent an inch of space and absolutely HATED being beaten.

Nowdays he just seagulls on the outside of the contest looking for cheap touches and his direct opponent runs riot.

Saw more of the same in his first hit out so nothings changed (early days tho)
Sure, but this has nothing to do with the fact he has hardly played today because is being managed for the bushfire game... so your original post was way off!

Has anyone seen anything today to make them think that this is anything other than a low talent team?

I just don't see much reason to think there's much real upside.
Miles behind the better teams at this stage, will need our best 22 to be competitive but this year was always going to be about getting games into the kids who haven’t been exposed to AFL because we preferred has been oldies.

Who were the 8 players we swapped out/in at half time?
Sloane & Laird swapped out.
McHenry & Keays swapped in.

Think we have gone 2/2, rather than 4/4

A traditional welcome to the club from Dmac with his regular hospital handpass

Its amazing really, that a guy who's played the astounding number of games that he has still does this all the time: gets the ball, holds onto it too long and runs himself into trouble, realises hes about to get tackled and panic handballs to a guy standing still who he should have gone to way earlier.

We've given him a full four quarters, whilst guys like McHenry who could benefit from the experience have been restricted to a half.

Never change Crows.

Absolutely bullied in this second half, result doesn’t matter obviously but the way they’ve been brushed aside and just meekly gone through the motions exactly like they did many times last year the worry to now come out of this.
