not enough interest, apprx 120 signatures....i need thousands to be heard, but people have no faith in someone they don't know it seems, or there just interested in dribbling on internet forums for 137 pages rather than trying to act as one body...hopefully he signs and we dont get f**ked over.....as u can see Newbold will not seek fair compensation if he doesn't.

What's been said last few weeks has been much more positive re him staying so hopefully he does...if we got fair compo which is 3 picks in top 10 for what will be the highest paid player in history and the most marketable player in AFL (given the AFL fund gws, give them higher cap they have no free agents and also propose to pay for them outside the cap) then we could use 2 or even 3 of those picks to attract 2 good quick mids and a tall with the $1.1 mill left over if he were to leave (we could also free up a bit more money with a couple of trades/delistings)

In any case hopefully he'll stay and it makes a lot of sense to stay from his perspective too for a lot of reasons, aside from the football side his brand as a potential multiple flag player for a big club like hawthorn will be worth plenty of $ after career as well. If i were him i would stay and thats taken the emotion out of it.
I think people realize that the rules, even if you don't like them, are the rules
FWIW, I agree pick 20 is pathetic, but if that's what we get, then we need to make it work for us, not complain

Anyhow, as I've said all along, I think he will stay and we won't need to worry about being mistreated by unfair AFL rules!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The "rules" are made up and change constantly....if u agree that pick 20 is an injustice, then you should demand a fair outcome for your club. That's my opinion, i would suggest its the opinion of many members and even the general football fans.

Your entitled to your opinion, and yes hopefully he will stay which will mean all these scenarios are not relevant

Shady the Sheikh is THE biggest b.....t artist you would ever meet. He thinks he is the smartest, best coach that ever was, and he has to appear every day in the media, either in the paper,on tv,on radio, he loves looking at himself. He is a PIG. A sly, arrogant prick, who thinks we can,t live without him in the media. Drop in the sinkhole Shady,,don't EVER reappear again, with your ugly dial..You see how much I like him:DI feel better now, you can't listen to his crappy rubbish,if you see him get out of that sinkhole, please push him down again..:p
Have a bit of a thing for the ol' man eh LMH? :D

It's his job, keeping GWS in the media, exactly what the AFL wants
Coaching is his second priority, media focus is his first
Deal with it!

I don't give a continental what you think of Shady, or what he does, I detest him,you know what he accused our team of doing. He lost respect from a lot of Hawk players, supporters, and members, many years ago. I will never forget what he did.. He is an arrogant know all.You can say "nice" things about him. good luck to you. I have my opinion, and that will never change. Just keep sticking up for him, That's your business.
For all I know, you may not have been born when that happened.
We have a forum to give an opinion about dozens of different subjects, if you don't agree with what I say, I really don't give a damn!
You deal with it!

Just wondering on peoples opinions but if Franklin were contracted till the end of 2014, would we still be entertaining thoughts of trading him to GWS for their No 1 draft pick with a view to freeing up $$ and possibly bringing in some classy midfielder(s)

I dont know anymore?? What ever happens, happens. But if Bud wants to go to GWS and play in a team that gets absolutely flogged every week, in front of 5000 people, then good luck to him. As we saw on the weekend we will be perfectly ok without Bud in our side.

Its like a school kid who is dropping his girlfriend because he heard a rumour she might drop him first.

Not for a once in a generation player. He's brought so much excitement to us fans in the past 9 years and he could easily last as long as Goodes if not longer.

I've thought that too.
Goodes is a bit more versatile though, I would've thought? Which aids his longevity.

Watch closely how Buddy doesn't quite put his seat belt on before the car drives off....i think that is an indication that he's going to GWS, classic case of rebelling.
Also you will notice how tight his pants are, that's how they wear them in West Sydney, usually while on copious amounts of drugs.
Get rid of him, a cancer of the club.

Yes, Buddy said he wanted to leave and live in Sydney
  • Or Perth
  • Or with his Rugby Union mates
  • Or with his ex-Collingwood mate
Well, he didn't actually say anything but he implied it when he spoke to the media.
Well he didn't actually speak to the media, but he spoke to many people about leaving.

To be continued ...

.

Let's make Saturday 3 August at the MCG - "Please stay Buddy day" Deck the G out in number 23's and Buddy banners and show him how much he means to the supporters (especially all the kids with 23's on their jumpers)
