The one and only Kevin Sheedy! He knows a family friend of mine very well (since the days he was coaching Essendon).

He was speaking with Sheedy a week or so ago while in Melbourne and was told the 'Buddy deal was good as done', pretty much summed it up by saying the $$ involved in the deal would be to good to refuse.

If what he is saying is true, then all the best to big bud. Don't think any other AFL player can say no to such an offer.
Sheedy says a lot of things.... Not shooting you as the messenger, but I'll wait til I hear it from Buddy/the club.

Heard Leon on SEN this morning and at the end of the interview he did say he was going to meet with Buddy today. Tongue in cheek? Or maybe not...

Buddy will be on AFL360 on Wednesday night. Am preety sure Robbo wont hold back any questions in regards to his contract. It will be intresting to see how budstar will answer them.

Leon is the aspect of the GWS bid that concerns me most - he presents well and has a good relationship with Buddy. Hopefully the all round awesomeness of Hawthorn prevails!

I hardly think he is would go on a show like AFL360 to make such a big announcement.
It would be done with the club, whichever one that maybe. (Hawthorn naturally!!)

Heard the other day that Buddy still hasn't made his mind up but was likely to stay at the Hawks, but has had an increased offer from another club.

Happy to PM the source of this one to a mod if required.

As long as that club is not GWS i wont be too concerned about it.

Of course Leon is there to talk to Buddy, BUT I thought that this was not allowed BEFORE the trade with the players themselves, the agents of course can handle the trades.(You all know what I thought many months ago about what Buddy will do).I must be wrong about coaches talking to players before the trade, because obviously Ablett spoke to GCS many times before the trade. I heard Leon this morning on SEN, I guess anybody can meet anybody they choose, for a cuppa..

Similar to what I was told by someone with their ear close to the ground. GWS "offer" not going to be looked at unless the AFL component is part of the contract - which it can't be. Gary Ablett was happy to take the risk, apparently Franklin is not.

If the corrupt AFL/Dictator wants him there, they will make sure he gets there. He can do things underhanded, without us knowing what he does..
