End of the season, I think he'll say " I wanted to stay at Hawthorn but the offer was too good to refuse "
A subtle way of saying "my management is trying to extract everything they can get out of Hawthorn and other interested clubs.""It is what it is...."
What does this mean?

Everyone tries to find the negatives out of a positive situation.
He has stated he wants to stay. He doesn't want to sign until the end of the season so he can focus on his footy.
Pretty straight forward. But all this hoo-haa from a supporter base as negative and whingy as Hawthorn has spiralled this out of control.
If he wants to stay, then sign - simple. What's he hanging out for? The offer that Hawthorn has presented is final - so I'm not sure what else is holding him back.
Saying that he wants to wait until the end of the year so he focus on his footy is rubbish.
Does this help you Flukey??
Hello Flukey, would you like us to print in pink,? *Winking*
I think he will stay now. Surely he wouldn't say that and then leave. He must just want more money out of us
I'm happy at Hawthorn I wanna stay.
I have just admitted that its a distraction but I don't care, I wanna concentrate on my football
its difficult for the club and me to concentrate on the football because of my contract situation.
Buddy, how can you concentrate on your football when everybody is asking and hounding you about your contract situation?
He's just a walking contradiction, and its bordering on dumb which currently best describes how he's currently playing on field.
Everyone??? The Media are you talking about?... the playing group doesn't.
Wouldn't it be easier to leave after winning a flag this year with Hawthorn? thus redeeming last year. Because if he does want flags he won't be getting any at GWS for another 4-5 years at least (if he's still around that is)I really think he wants to see if we can win the flag this year and will set himself to achieve that, don't think you can undestimate how much last year has cut him deep. I think if we fall short again this year then it will make it easier for both parties to part ways, hopefully with a deal to be done. He knows the money on offer from both sides, that s a given, what he wants is to win flags NOW. Win this year and he knows he has another in him at the Hawks in next one , two years.
Given how huge this is going to be for Buddy why wouldn't he want to make sure that he and Liam Pickering dot all the "i's" and cross the "t's"..
what did travis cloke do? was that rubbish too?
everyone else seems to be distracted to the point of hysteria
Maybe he's a man of his wordand we all know what happened with Cloke. Having these negotiations lingering over his head, and the club for the whole season affected his performance to the extent that he was creating brand damage for himself. Not saying that Buddy's doing the same, but my point is, if you want to stay, why not sign now? What is there to gain by hanging out if you know that the club has put in its best and final offer?
