Suck s.hite Freo. You took the win when the umpires conspired to cheat us out of the points last year.
Your fat idiot coach should pull his stupid pathetic head in.
Funnily enough i always thought you played to the whistle.
So chew on it Freo you bunch of whinging crybabies.
In saying that freo should have won.
Both teams are total s.hite and wont go anywhere this seaon, especially on todays performance.
The Old Dark Navy's said:How sincere was Thomas when he said there was a lot of yelling and he didn't hear the siren?
We didn't hear it at home that much is clear so either the Freo players have a ringing in their ears or the Saints players heard it too. Will anyone come clean? I mean AFL players here sirens in their private lives all the time, why not today?
This is worse than the night final years ago when Kerry Goode marked a few seconds after the siren to win the game for the Roos against Collingwood.
Its going take a long time for Footy Results to be released at work (Tipping) until the dust finally settles.JuddyisGod said:Imagine if you had a lot of money at the TAB for a Freo win, or money on the draw. This could have large repurcussions...

so why didnt they keep blowing the siren when it was obvious play was going to continue?
the rule is the game/quarter isnt over until the umpires hear the siren so you cannot really fault the umpires.
happened in a local game last year the siren blew and the team took it down to score a goal while players were shaking hands
EXACTLYscarecrow2k1 said:If they never heard the siren then why is the match not still being playeD? Another siren was never blown, so did they just deicde after the behind kicked after that second ball up that it was okay to stop the match now? It was a while after the siren, what triggered it?
Diego said:This is why the AFL will never become an international sport. When we have morons in yellow thinking they are bigger than the game well it won't go far.
The umpires are the biggest blight on the game atm. They are there to officate so the contest is far THEY ARE NOT THERE TO BE BIGGER THAN THE GAME.
I would have been absolutly filthy had it been the swans.

If they pay the draw, then there are going to be a lot of ed off punters who put down a lot of money on Freo to win, and then if the result is reversed they'd have to pay the win.
It could severely affect a lot of lucrative tipping competitions to.

mediumsizered said:Unfortunately the game is not deemed to have been completed until the umpires hear the siren and acknowledge it by raising the arms. The question that needs to be answered, is why did the umpires finally call time after the free kick was awarded to Baker? There was no siren then, so what led the umpires to finally acknowledge the game was over? Theoretically the game could have gone on for another 5 minutes, 10 minutes, who knows until they found a bell or could make the siren heard.
I'm sure they will now and say it's all fixed and try and forget this ever happened.Tuco said:If the AFL doesn't immediately install a league standard siren that can actually be heard at that ground it should be deemed unfit for AFL maches.
The Fat Lady didn't know we had lost.philhawk said:Wtf Baker Given A Free Kick Now! This Is A Farce! Freo Won The Game? Even The Saints Players Knew They Had Lost????
It is obviously up to the AFL to ensure that all aspects of the venue are up to AFL standard.mediumsizered said:First nail in the coffin for Aurora Stadium and AFL football in Tasmania. If you have 7 umpires on the field, plus an emergency umpire sitting on the bench unable to hear the siren, then the Stadium is not up to AFL standard and should be factored out of the AFL draw for the future.
