4 - Fyfe
3 - Johnson
2 - That really big bloke who is really really big.
2 - Pav
2 - DeBoer
1 - Ibbo
1 - Mzungu

BYB - Clarke

Very even team effort though. Could almost give all of them 1 vote.

Ross Lyon's impact has been immediate and breathtaking IMO. Can't remember the last time our middle-tier players, Duff/Johnson/De boer/Ibbotson etc all played terrific games.

5- Fyfe
4- Johnson
3- Mzungu
2- Sandilands
1- Duffield

From being at the game, watching on telly I'm sure my votes would have been completely different. Mzungu was gigantic tonight though and I wish I could give him top votes.

After watching live and then the replay, without looking at anyone else's votes:

5 Fyfe - wouldn't have put him BOG live but he was sensational after watching the replay
4 DeBoer - watching live was my early tip for BOG
3 Balla -probably deserves another couple of votes for getting that w***er Scarlett suspended
2 MJ - if Ross can keep him playing like this we have another A grader on our hands
1 Pav - stood up when it counted

Special mentions to Sandi's first qtr and Mzungu's last qtr. Both brilliant.

BYB - Mellington

5. Fyfe
4. Johnson (I can't believe I'm doing this!)
3. Sandilands
2. Mzungu
1. Mellington

BYB - Mellington (3 important goals), but Zac would be breathing down Mello's neck after a very good performance.

Honourable mentions - Thought De Boer, Duffield and Ibbo made BIG improvements from last year.

I have to mention Ballas somewhere in this post! What an annoying little niggling s**t. I love Ballas! All the "love" out there for him from opposition supporters reminds me of when Josh Carr won the Glendenning medal.

5 The Lake Grace Marvel
4 Hayden 'Ive Got You Under My Skin' Ballantyne
3 Sandi
1 Points Alot
1 Dawson (simply for the play of leaving his man and impacting that contest)
1 Kosta Zu

BYB Zac (just)

That is it, best title (not nick name) ever.
The Lake Grace Marvel

5- Fyfe- he was enormous, and is just about untagable
4- Dawson- very very good
3- Johnson- credit where due, he was great
2- Ballantyne- love the way he goes about his footy
1- Pavlich- great captains game

5. Fyfe
4. Johnson
3. Deboer
2. Sandilands
1. Ballantyne

Special mention to Pav for standing up in the last quater.

BYB - Tough but I will have to go with Zac

5. Fyfe
4. Sandi
3. MJ
2. Pav
1. Ballas.

Seriously tempted to give Ballas the 5 just because of the aggro he has created amongst the Egirls (who I think are mainly pi55ed that he wears purple & not blue & canary yellow) & Cats fans who are as mentally rattled by him as their players were last night!:thumbsu:

5. Fyfe - almost the perfect game for someone of his experience
4. Sandi - set up the win with an epic 2st quarter
3. MiJ - huge 3rd quarter and was extremely good on the rebound
2. Ballantyne - was one of the few mids I could single out
1. Mzungu - I thought his pace did a lot of damage to Geelong

BYB:

Clarke

But gee Mellington is something else. If we could get him and Walters in the team, that would be amazing.

Surprised to see Pav there in so many votes. I thought he was beaten for 3 quarters, but it was great to see him impose himself when needed as good players do. I think under Harvey, he would have been run into the ground and not given a chance to be a threat later in the game. It was the same coaching that saw Hill have an impact late, without doing anything. Very smart coaching with them both.

5. Fyfe - omg. Simply amazing. 2 Goals, 30 Disposals, 7 Tackles, 6 Marks.
4. Sandilands - Back to the best ruckwork and marking we all love about Sandi. 19 Disposals and 32 Hit Outs.
3. Mzungu - Really helped with his defensive side and offensive flair. 6 Tackles, 22 Disposals and 1 Goal.
2. McPharlin - Brilliant defensive game again. 8 Marks and really helped setup and drive some offensive transition football.
1. Pavlich - Reasonably quiet for the game but had a "Captain's Last Quarter" and showed some great leadership.

FBYB - Mellington. 3 Goals and great endeavour to keep active on and off the ball.

5. Sandilands
4. Fyfe
3. Ballantyne
2. DeBoer
1. Clarke

BYB Clarke

Still can't believe how overrated Pav's performances are in these MVP threads. Do any of you people vote on the Doig by any chance?
