How has everyone collectively just turned to utter s**t though??? Even our good players are shells of human beings out there.
Haven't you heard, we're tanking for a better first rounder this year...

...for the Dees.

Sean Darcy attempt at marking was awful. Disgraceful actually.

You're the only one calling me a flog and etc. That is funny given I'm not stirring here.

As I have stated, I think right now you're playing terrible, as is half the AFL.
I think once you work out what you're doing up forward you'll be okay.
Starting Walters might be a first step.

I think you'll win the Derby by ~5 goals and build on it in what will be an open and close season. Everyone can beat everyone, upsets will happen.

Cheers.
You are a flog. **** off.

Can we redraft Mundy mid season?

It's probably a factor. It has been a staple of watching us play the last couple of years where you can see the little huddle before a bounce where Mundy leads like he's saying "this what we're going to try next" and the other mids are on board with it.

We subbed tabs and then sent brodie and Jaeger forward for a contest...
Only sent Jaegar there last 5 minutes and his straight kicking got us back in it. Do agree we looked too tall with Tabs then all of a sudden looked way too short.

Amiss and Jackson were non factors in the air and Darcy couldn’t take a mark.

Yeah that seemed lacking tonight. Brayshaw and Serong are official leaders now. They need to step up their talk.

I understand where you're coming from to some extent but Treacy and Amiss have played two of the worst games ever witnessed the past fortnight. Treacy had 2 kicks and 0 marks last week. Amiss had 1 kick and 2 marks tonight. Both looked completely out of their league and that's without them attracting the best opposition defenders. Tabs has been near useless but in his 3 quarters last week and 2.5 this week he's taken more marks this season than Amiss, Jackson and Treacy combined. More than Darcy too.

Stat wise you are probably correct but Amiss to me looked quite good tonight. He had speed and movement and aggression, was the ONLY forward who led, took a great mark which help set up one of our few goals and looked like he belonged. He created space. He should have been used at least twice which would have set up shots at goal. Yes he got outbodied once or twice but he would do a lot better in a well coached forward line.
No, Im adamant that he will make a very good forward. After watching tonight, I am now even more all for playing him in every match he is physically able to play in.

There's just no need pal.
There’s no need for you to be in here worrying about future opposition when you still have a game to play in the current round. You and your thinly veiled trolling can **** right off.

LOL that's literally our future dream forward line.

I don't think "play the kids" is the answer

It's actually alarming how far backwards he's gone since winning the b&f.

Fwd line doesnt work with 3 x talls ( Darcy/Jackson, Tabs & Amiss). Imagine trying to fit Fyfe in there too. Wat a joke. Only tall to snag a goal was Cox late in the game. Jackson really needed a bronx cheer when he stopped juggling and finally marked one.
Didnt look dangerous down there till Walters come on and he teamed up with Freddy.

In fairness Longmuir did constantly change the tall combination down there but no one leads at the ball carrier and only Tabs can mark it, Jackson and Darcy try to mark the same kick and Amiss isnt strong enough to break away or outbody his opponent.

Yes and the midfield is small and one paced.
Although Switta and maybe Aish look ok in there so go figure..maybe its more a speed thing and not size related?
LDU played well tore us to shreds. Roos have definantly had the last laugh.

In all fairness, it's easy to have a go at the forward structures and the players in that forward 50 but the midfield over the last 2 weeks have been completely embarrassed by their opponents. You could have a prime Buddy Franklin in this team and he would be made to look second rate with the slow movement and constant bombing of the ball deep. How nice would it be to see a structure where forwards actually lead and are rewarded for their efforts.

There is a 30 or 40 game price you have to pay to get a good player (especially key forward) from the draft. It consists of frustration and inconsistency for coaches and fans but only when the player comes out the other side, with 50 odd games they will start to flourish and be consistently good.

Amiss has played 4 games.
Sturt has played 5 game.
Treacy has played 22 games.
Erasmus has played 5 games
Johnson has played 0 games.

An important point to note - you CANNOT short circuit this price by “developing him in the WAFL”
This is a flawed strategy. You are only delaying the payment of the price at AFL level to later. There is NO substitute for AFL match experience. None.

I'm a huge Amiss fan and believe we have a beauty in him, but honestly he was worst on ground.

He had one kick and I'm pretty sure that was after the siren in the second when he kicked it to the umpire, so essentially he had 0 kicks in the actual game.

It's not alarm bells stuff because it's only his fourth game, but that wasn't a game to get excited about
